Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Jan, I like your Uncle Homer too! I have to go through the book myself...I always forget how to do things that are really easy if I don't use it all the time. I just need to find TIME!!!!
actually, its a good idea for the people who want to get their feet wet to do all the super easy ones ahead of time.
i put all the super easy blocks and triangles in december (the 1st 2 weeks) so if you do them now before we even start you'll be able to have the entire month of december off.
Uncle Homer looks good Janstar
I have some other stuff I committed to doing also...I think I'm going to try to wait until the party starts to do mine...maybe...
I went to a paper supply company yesterday and bought a pack of 500 pieces of velumm (I know this is spelled wrong...being lazy) and it was $40 with tax. I am using it for some other quilts I'm doing, but certainly this is not cheap. If anyone is having trouble finding the small amount of velum paper they need for a reasonable cost, I'm happy to get another pack, and sell it in bundles of what you need for cost (plus shipping/mailing which can't be too much). Just let me know and I can put a packet together for you.
I just use ordinary paper for the printer, works for me. I use a tiny stitch on my machine and haven´t had a problem so far. Tissue paper or Tracing paper works well too.
I am finding these blocks addictive, anyone else finding that ?

I have avoided starting. I know I will get lost once I do and I need to stay found for now. Klue did you use the difficulty sheet from the software or did you adjust it like we had talked about?
I found the tracing papaer that someone recommended on another Jane thread. Its in the kids "art" section at Wally's....about $1.something for 40 sheets. Its not quite as flimsy as the vellumn (which I've always used), but works great. It comes in a tablet you can tear out the sheets and run them through your printer.
Let me go get it..to see what its actually called....BRB.... IK...by Mead...its Academie Tracing Paper...mediumweight Paper
That's funny as I just bought a tablet of tracing paper for the kids (they are into tracing and coloring spongebob pictures right now!) and thought it might work nicely. I haven't done the math, but sounds like it's cheaper. I'll try and piece and see what I like better. The tracing paper actually seems flimsier than the velum to me...
