Blinky...no worries...we'll be hanging around!!

Kathy, yes, it did shrink a little bit from the trapunto. I used a high loft Poly bat (its what I have here without shopping). I'm thinking now the if I continue along those lines, I will just sew my pre-cut tris into the quilt, then do the trapunto...then quilt. It will be just the border, so not all that difficult to handle. When my "test" fully dried..it does look good so we'll see when I "get there" how I feel about it. I'm quilting on tri # 41 and I've almost gotten 1 section of the batting sewn together, so I'm moving forward! Yippee!!

Lesley...awwww...go ahead and grin all the time..it just makes people wonder what you're up to!

May I say hi?? Remember me?? LOL So very sadly I must admit that I have not worked on Jane in quite a while, though with a snow day today I am thinking a block might be nice. Pat kind of knows the reason why, but I thought I would share a link to a blog post/announcement for you guys if you are interested:

So needless to say I have been very occupied, plus sadly I had both of my grandmothers pass within a week of each other in early December, so it has been a very busy and sad time. I am going to go back and catch up on your posts now, but I hope you ladies are doing way better than me at keeping up with Jane!!

Cheers!
Rachel

Hey Rach! I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmothers. Such a blow to have 2 at one time, my heart goes out to you and your family.

I have to say that I'd buy most anything from your salesman! What a cuties he is....do you have a target "open date" for the store??

You know Jane will be waiting for you when you get time for her. Your layout is so great...I know you'll finish it sometime>

My target date was January 15, then Feb 1, and well you know how that goes. :) I have all the inventory now, I just have to get pics and descriptions into the store. So my target date is now ASAP. :) :) I am trying to come up with a way to differentiate my store, I am thinking tutorials and stuff, but I just have to figure out how and where I will do them. :)

Hi Rachel, so sorry about your Grandmothers - it must be really hard. But it is nice that you found a minute or two to pop in and tell us about your new venture.
Even one block done is another along the way, and I know that some people have been plodding on for years, so don't lose heart completely.
We will be here for you if you need us.

Thanks .... you are right about the blocks, I never expected to finish anytime soon, but every block I do is one block closer. I am happy to 'see' everyone again.

I think it was Confuscious who said something about a Journey of a Thousand Miles begins with a single step. So a block or two every so often will soon add up to two hundred and odd! Don't lose heart.

Hey everyone...I just had someone ask me if I would be keeping all my Jane equipment (book, rulers, etc) after I finish and I'm thinking that I will, but if any of you are going to sell your's I know someone who might like it. You can send me a pm.
