Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I love the sun fabric. If I had had enough of the sun fabric, I would have put some in the flip-flop block. Alas, all I have left are some scraps. Not enough to get four 2 inch blocks out of it.
So, Sulabug. any Sept. hints for us? Sewing minds want to know...

WOW!!What pretty blocks you have made this month. I love your Exploding Star, as it is so warm & welcoming looking. It really represents the Summer Sun that most of us are all having. Also your flip flop block is just darling, I love it too!! You always make such cute blocks. Thanks for sharing with all of us!!

Hints, you ask?Hee-Hee..........well let me think a minute. I can tell you that the September block represents many of the fall color's & oh yes, it has some of our favorite HST blocks in it. Does this help any?

Hmmm____ How am I going to make a purple maple leaf? For those of us planning to use this calendar quilt as a Christmas gift, any chance we could get November and December blocks at the same time so we have a little time to get it finished? Just something to consider.
Here is the block I choose to do for August! I'm a Carol Doak fan so I substituted one of her blocks for the one chosen.
