Love the block and this will be my first BOM! It will give me something to look forward to each month and I plan to make 2-3 of each and make two gifts from two of them! Thank you to all who are helping to put these together. Sure brightens these snow bound days here!

I am looking for the right way to repair and wash a quilt that probably ages about the 1800s some where. My families.

Have fun & don't forget to post your finished block so we can all see them.

http://www.bluemountainquiltersguild.../Sunflower.pdf (due to recent changes at the referenced website, this link may not work for everyone)

Sulabug..that is such a tempting block...I love those color and pattern choices....I have soooo many UFO's that I really shouldn't be doing this ...but like my friend Blue Bell I want to do EVERYTHING!!!!! but I might try

Have Fun,

I found the block elsewhere. The block is included in Maggie Malone's book, "5,500 Quilt Block Designs". It's #448, on page 40.

Very basic instructions can be found at the Quilter's Newsletter website. Go to this page, scroll down a bit until you see the image, and click on the word "Sunflower".

http://www.quiltersnewsletter.com/ar...tacular_Blocks

they provide a piecing diagram along with both templates and rotary cutting dimensions. the rotary cutting are in small print, with diagrams, inside the templates.

if you set page scaling to "none" before your print from adobe acrobat reader, the templates print at the correct size for a 12" block (12-1/2" unfinished).

if you cannot open the instructions, it means you don't have a recent enough version of adobe acrobat reader installed on your computer. to solve that problem for free, just go to http://www.adobe.com and click on "get adobe reader". follow the extremely easy instructions for installation.
