I had trouble printing this pattern to the correct size. Please remember to double check the 1" square to make sure it measures correctly or your block will not come out the correct size! I had to save the diagram to my computer and bring it up in Paint and resize to 100% to get it to print correctly.

Yes it is a very easy paper pieced pattern. A good one for a beginner.

Oh it is beautiful! I am a new quilter and this first block already seems like too much but I will try to go to the recommended paper piecing section and practice first and see what I can do. You need to come to my house in Ohio and teach me in person!

Sulabug, Great first block and I love your fabrics. Pokerdiva Yours is just as pretty. I have saved the templates for a day later in the week after the cool change hits. We are swealtering in 40C heat for the second day, can't even visit my sewing room!!!!
Mona it is easy once you get the hang of it Give it a try and you will be impressed with your work.

Mona, I just learned to Paper Piece last year while doing the Star BOM. This is a video I found so helpful, hope it helps you too! Also If you get the Scribble Pads at the Dollar Store, you can cut the pages down to 8 1/2 X 11. This will go through your printer, and it is very easy to tear the paper off when you are done with the block.

Beautiful block. I'm not very good at paper piecing but think I'll give it a try. Practice makes pefect - maybe one of these days.
