Jeanine - Your turkey tracks are so cute..and they lead right on over to the cutest lil turkey.. LOL I agree turkeys wobble so they are bound to be tilted..

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'm heading out to Hobby Lobby to buy some. I can't wait to start. I did a search for applique on the boards but I think I may have to refine my search a bit as it brought up tons of things. I wish to try it with my sewing machine first before I try hand sewing. I've finally learned how to use a machine so I'm excited to learn as much as I can with it.

Hand appliqué takes longer but you get the raw edge hidden. There are some great tutorials here & you'll have to find which method you prefer.
Remember have fun & don't stress over it.
good luck

Jeanine............what a beautiful turkey you have made for this month's BOM choice. I admire the needle turned applique' that you have so beautifully done. The turkey tracks just add the perfect touch. What a great job, thank you so much for sharing with all of us here on the Quilting Board!!

I have been so missing in action of doing this BOM. It is very weird but I learned something. I did not like the May BOM that I made. In fact when it was done I think it looked terrible. I did do June and JUly and then I just stopped.
I keep being bothered by that darn May block. all of you here on the board thought it looked nice but even when I put it with my other blocks it just stands out like a sore thumb instead of blending in with the others. So here I am now in Australia visiting my daughter and I can't sew here....so I get to think about quilting. When I get home in Dec. I am going to remake that darn block and then do the others. I will keep that block I made because who knows it might fit in some other place where it will play nice with the other blocks. I have enjoyed looking every month at every ones block so I am going to push myself out of this funk and get cracking in DEC. I will post my pictures for all of you to see.

Barb,
I know exactly what you mean about the May block being so different than the others. Since this is for you, there is no reason not to change it if you want. Looking forward to seeing what you choose.

Default Cajun's Oct/ Nov Blocks

Well finally I was able to catch up with my BOM blocks, I did October..not a jar but a pumpkin block and November a turkey block. I wanted my BOM Calendar to represent the months specifically. Can't wait for the December choice.

Hugs,
Cajun
