Thanks! All the fabric came from Hobby Lobby. The darker one looks like batik, but it's just regular cotton fabric.

Not sure I will have enough contrast in my fabric choices. Here is a picture of the 4-patch blocks against the medium fabric. What do you think?

I have enough of all fabrics to remake with a lighter fabric if I can find something else in the stash. I would like not to have to buy fabric right now. Sad I know! LOL

At first I thought no, but the more I look at it the better I like it. You could always use white but then your colors would be in the wrong order... If you have solids a pretty green or pink would work, too. Why don't you wait until Saturday and see what Judy has up her sleeve?

I've decided to do a second set in manly colours. Most of my charity quilts go to folks in nursing homes and the men tend to get short changed. The squares are on top of the medium I plan on using.

Marytodd good solution for colors on your 4-patch blocks! However, I am concerned about the footprint fabric. It will work because of the white background, but be prepared to lose a lot of the foot. If I remember this fabric, the feet are fairly spaced apart. If you have some solid white, maybe you could use the feet on the back?

moonrise love your batiks, they are beautiful

Alva you will be fine with the 3rd fabric you showed us, there will be plenty of contrast -- a little birdie told me so!

Belfry love this green/brown combo, it will be great.

oops - mary todd, misread your posting -- didn't see, well I saw but didn't read I guess, that the footprints pattern is for backing.

I bought a blue and a pink that are both medium, they should arrive by next Wednesday. The Sale at Joann's was awesome $2.40 a yard! I haven't paid that small of a price for fabric in many years! My plan is to launder it all as soon as I get it to see the quality!

I am going make this quilt in regular cotton also because I have some cool fabric that I want to use, it has good contrast and I have the right amounts of fabric!

So I am off to sew and will post pictures soon!

Mary~
