Hex Nut, love your blocks!! Looks like you are EPP? Does that mean you are doing it all by hand? I have never done EPP.
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Hex Nut, love your blocks!! Looks like you are EPP? Does that mean you are doing it all by hand? I have never done EPP.
Here is the icon I use to embed my photos:
(I tried to edit my last post, but it said I don't have permission)
You may be able to use this in "go advanced" as well - I haven't tried that.
OK. so I will try even though I see no trees [except for the ones outside my window!!]
In fact .... have been looking and searching for a while.... no trees... no mother earth.... no slide show and ..no smiley face!!baaaa
oh! just hit 'post quick reply' and I got this message: "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters." huh??!!!! tried again & same message??

NOW.. I had to click on the reply to thread on the left - this one has not happened to me before
Hex nut!!! So great to see you back. I was wondering what happened to you. Your blocks look great. Looks like you are having great fun with your new blue DJ and all the fussy cut pieces!
Everyone's blocks are looking great! Okay...I am now officially at least one week behind...so I had better get back to working on my DJ. I did manage to get all the little sleepers and hats sewn for the wee preemie and I am happy to report that little Shelby is now a whopping 3.8 lbs!

I agree about not seeing a tree, because my vision is not so good, so I just have always used my mouse and by hovering over the 4th icon from the right, this bar is located above this dialogue box, a little box will pop up that says INSERT IMAGE. I finally got out my magnifying glass and discovered that the tree is inside that little bitty box. Why a tree and not a camera? Who knows? But I love inserting all my pictures that way, so much easier than doing it the way we were first told. And we can do dialogue with each picture. Good luck figuring this out, and believe me, once you do it this way, you won't go back. And I just click on the POST QUICK REPLY to submit my post. I do not use the GO ADVANCED button. Nancy explained it to me quite a while ago, and I thank her so much for the info. Such great people on this board.

A home is built of peace and love,
and not of wood and stone,
a place where happiness lives
and memories are sewn.
So - I just got off the phone with our friend Nancy [quiltnNan] and she explained why I was only able to see the trees outside my house!!
Take note - everyone who has no tree or world, filmstrip, font choices bold italic underline or size options available to them - this is awesome!! just what I need, something else to occupy my time
What you need to do is to reset your "general settings" :
1. click on "settings" at the top of any page ...waaay up top to the right
2. scroll down the far left column and click on "general settings" - under my account - which is under my settings
3. scroll waaay down to the last section on your right to "miscellaneous options" and click here:
Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
4. last - click "save changes" at the bottom and you too will have all these wonderful options.
now one more thing totally unrelated - thequiltshow.com is celebrating their 100th show by sharing all of their past shows with members and nonmembers next weekend. I'm fairly sure it will be Friday though Sunday. Check it out [I also still have free one month pass certificates if anyone wants one, just let me know because they all have different #s]
Now one last thing I will try
Wow - this really does work!! I'm painting a mural in youngest grandson's room [nothing I do seems to get completed] What color should the Cat's surfboard be??
I didn't finish the other room either...ok that works!!! these photos were taken a long time ago - the room is more complete than it looks
obviously I still need to learn how to "size" the pics!! filmstrip maybe?? the pics uploaded as 1/2" squares - I didnt think they would even be visible to you!
Gus
Gus, I vote for a yellow surfboard....and thanks so much for the tute on this week's block. Here are my blocks for last week...playing catch-up here...

Love your painted walls Gus!
I too have trouble completing things - I'm always starting something new
This group should encourage us all to finish our Janes though (I hope!)
Glad Nancy could help sort out your posts.
I use Photoshop to size my pictures. (save for web and then I can choose the width in pixels)
The blocks in my posts are set at 170x170 pixels.
It is not quite "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" (WYSIWYG Editing) since the icon picture
I posted above was also teeny-tiny until I actually posted, then it came up huge!
I also thought it was too small - so I kept saving it larger - it is 600 pixels wide.
CindyA Thanks - I love the colours on your a7 and a9!
I am planning on doing all the blocks by hand using English Paper Piecing.
EPP is not hard - but my mom always says she wouldn't have the patience for it. -
so I guess it is kind of fiddley (is that a word??) work.
Tyme So nice of you to make the hats and sleepers. The blocks will wait until we get to them![]()
I was wondering if any of you have decided to machine quilt the individual blocks to the batting (Like Lacelady did)....only she did all of her quilting by HAND...got any tips for me on why or why not to machine quilt the blocks? I am almost done with the blocks, was making this with the original "crew"...Klue, LaCElady, etc. Took a year off....don't do that. LOL
