Carriem I sure have enjoyed "lurking" on this thread. The blocks and the quilts are AMAZING!! To add to my ever-growing list of 33. Can I ever live that long? Keep sharing those pictures and know that so many are enjoying them.

Good news from the eye Dr. today...I am back to square one, before the Optic Nerve swelled up, and see as good as ever. So no more excuses on the 50 stars, time to get busy to make up time lost....soon. Canning is the 'on' thing right now...it is peaches in the kitchen waiting for me to can them tomorrow morning. Celebrate the day! and do something you love to do.

Glad to hear the good news QuiltingNinaSue! You're doing good to can peaches. The most I ever made with them was ice cream and freezer peach jam. Glad you can sew again!

Oh I love all of your blocks. They are all so beautiful. They all look so different with the different colors in them. I can't wait to see them all completed. I tried to pick a favorite when I did mine. I have a few that aren't my favorite but my favorite keeps changing. I do like the Maine block a lot. But my favorite changes from day to day.

QuiltingNinaSue....I am so happy to hear your vision is back. You inspire me to celebrate each day! So many of us moan and groan over so much less of what we perceive to be pain and agony in our lives and you absolutely show us how to make lemonade out of lemons. Sometimes I really have to thank the big guy up there for putting certain people in my life, and you are one of them. I hope you have a great day today.

Thank you all for your kind words. As the specialist in DM said, "its not something I did necessarily, there is a higher power than mine. Sometimes the treatment works and sometimes it does not." Yes, I believe in Him above all of us; and every prayer is answered in His time, not ours. He told me "Everything is going to be alright!" when they tested me in Chariton and I could not doubt His word to me. It just about knocked me off the chair I was sitting in at the time. I do not sit in Church every Sunday...or have joined any church yet...but He spoke to me...one of a zillion on earth...that believes in Him. It still brings goose-bumps on my arms when I think about it.

Hoping to make progress on "I SPY" and "Mama and her kittens" so I can quilt them on my new 550 Bernina and get back to the stars before you all finish. But I am lurking, and watching your wonderful progress with your stars....and all of them are beautiful stars indeed.

Enjoy a day of rest and joy with your Sunday, and look forward to a good week...Yes, Barb, I was taught at an early age to enjoy every moment of the day and remember all the good things that happens and count my blessings for I was blessed this day...in many ways....including QB and friendships that it has brought into my life. Bless all of you.

I had a VERY productive weekend! Got 7 blocks complete and the 8th just needs the 8 sections sewn together. I took pictures but didn't label them so I need to figure out which ones I can post now and which I have to wait to post.

I also have California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Delaware completed. I am up to 18 finished blocks...not quite half-way there yet.
