50 Fab Paper-Pieced Stars
#2335
Today I finished my State Star Quilt. I've had my blocks finished for a while but couldn't decide how to put them all together. I used the Quilt As You Go Block Method & am very happy with the results. I SID in most of the blocks & around the sashing. It is a very heavy quilt so I know it will keep us warm this winter. Here are pictures of the front & back of it.

Patricia, your quilt is gorgeous! The white sashing is really pretty. I also love the way you did the back. Congratulations on a great finish. Did you tack down the sashing on the front or on the back? Did you do it by machine, straight or zigzag, or by hand?
I too will be doing quilt as you go but with FMQ. I may do larger sections a time, maybe four or six blocks together in each QAYG section. There will still be sashing in between all the blocks.

Poker Diva, Yes, I'm happy it's finished because I have several UFOs I can work on now. I was able to use up alot of my stash with these blocks too. I love paper piecing so will continue with other projects too.

Patricia, A job well done! and beautiful too. It's funny, looking at someone else's quilt and not recognizing the stars because they look so different in other colors. Not to mention, it's been a while since we've done some of them.
