Well, I just finished block 7,yay! An easy block compared to many, but it seems like it took me forever! It is amazing how used one gets to their surroundings, as I mentioned before, I am in Boston for work and will be here for a while so I brought one of those three-drawer plastic units filled with my AOTH fabric and tools, as well as fabrics for the two BOMs I am working on, a kit I put together for a small quilt for when I need a sense of accomplishment and one sandwiched and half quilted small lap quilt to finish( well I am unpicking stitches so it is taking forever!). Well I have been trying to set up a comfortable nook for me in here, but it's been a challenge! My sewing room at home is small but organized if I say so myself, so everything is right where I need it and things make their way to my hands effortlessly as I work on projects, but not here! Where is the glue? Where did I put the small scissors? I am holding the mini iron at an odd angel and on and on, lol, I know it'll get better, but I need to figure out a temporary organizing solution that will not add more stuff for me to take back home...as is, I had to go check out a couple of the quilt shops around here( there are so many) and bought some souvenirs

Will post a picture of block 7 soon, as soon as I find the dang camera that is

Thanks for posting this. I put it in my bookmarks for further review. I have done individual blocks QAYG in the Georgia Bonesteel method but this is a brand new way and I will probably try it.

those three drawer carts are THE BEST :D if you are looking for tool storage that you can have working access to, look for one of those desktop organizers make for pens and paperclips.... they are SO handy and keeps everything within reach ;)

I bought a second 3 drawer cart for AOTH, and it is one of the best things I have done for myself!
I like to do some of the work in the living room and it really keeps things tidy and organized.
Now if I can just learn to stay on track, stop getting interrupted and learn to say no a little more.

Here is my collection of 3-drawer chests. This is only a small part of my stash, but it's what I use more of than any other fabric. The chest on the left is all batiks! The rest of my stash is in my sewing room which I abandoned almost a year ago! It's really a mess right now as I drop stuff on one of the tables & close the door. Can't do that anymore as it will just slide off onto the floor. I like to have my floors clear. I really must take a weekend & get that room straightened up, but for now, I'll just keep the door closed!

Well, tomorrow beginning week #15 & we are up to Block # 27. I think several ladies have added special touches to their Block 27. Feel free to alter the blocks any way you wish & have fun doing it!

Here is my block 27. The color is way off, but I was taking pics at night & out interior lighting is screwy. Tried adjusting it with Picture MAnager, but didn't come close. Will have to imagine it without such an orange-ish overtone.
