was gone to my daughters house for Easter and just looked through all the stars. how beautiful everyones are! All the quilts are going to be so uniquie, but like me how many will really be put together when all the blocks are finished
that is where I hit a road block. out of 9 BOM projects only 2 have been quilted.

What is your secret to get to the finished product? Any hints?
Will take all ideas, comments, theroies.

thanks

All the stars are looking great. I have fallen behind. I have been working on a gift for my daughter who we are going to visit at the end of the week. I will work at catching up when I return from vacation.

The stars and buildings are my 2nd and 3rd BOM. I did the flowers last year. I have the same question/problem. I haven't done anything with the flowers and am worried I'll do the same with these two. Someone said in another thread that they enjoy the piecing and not the quilting so they just donate their blocks to a group that will finish them and donate to a good cause. I think that's a good plan. But.... I would like to finish them. I think a quilt-as-you-go might work. Also, in December, or earlier, I would like to see people lay out their blocks on the floor if they have a design planned for them.

Here is Amish April and all stars so far. I wish what looks like a cream color would show up better. It is a pale yellow. This was a fun star and really went together fast. Thanks for the selection.

I have been considering doing this with "quilt-as-you-go" too. I wanted to get a few of the blocks done so I could decide what color back and sashing to use.
