Week 54 reminds me of an old TV show. Car 54 (where are you!) Well, I have both my blocks for this week done. I'm so proud of myself. It feels so good!! In my haste to get them done before posting this week I made a booboo and didn't see it until after I scanned the block ...so now after I'm done here I have to make like a frog and rip, rip, rip it. At least it's only one small piece, Anne. It took me three days to take of my sucky borders, unquilt them and start to redo them. It's well worth it. Your advice on the black border was right on the money. Thank you very much!

Did you get the notice to preorder the Pony Club book?

Jan, How do you get on the list for the preorder of the Pony Club book? I would also consider this for the next quilt.

Try this url.
http://www.thefarmerswifequilt.blogspot.com/

Are you members of the Pony Club on Yahoo???

I signed up and that's how I get the info. Apparently that's the only place that The author is letting anyone know about the new book. I'm waiting until I can get a better discount than the $3.00 she's giving off. I'm a cheapie that way. Anne

Yes, How does "The FWS Update Page" sound??? I will post it on Tues day evening...the same as we are doing now. This page will include anything and everything/photos of what we are currently doing to complete our quilts. I will also post a page for "FWS Completed Quilts". I will do this the week after we finish Block 111. Input anyone on any of the above ??

I like these ideas. Especially when I get to the binding--I'm really going to need some kicks in the, I mean I'm really going to need encouragement. It looks like 3 miles of binding!! I usually like doing binding; means the ends in sight but this is rather daunting! I also don't want to lose touch with everyone in this group. It would almost be like postpartum depression!

LOL you are soooo funny Jan (postpartum depression).

I think this is a brilliant idea Anne! What fun to keep us going until we start the Pony Club Quilt later in the year! I've been collecting the type of fabrics that Laurie mentioned she used in her quilt. They were in a post on the pony club Yahoo group she started, did anyone else see that post? It was in May sometime, as we were in WA visiting our friends. I can probably find it and post it here if anyone is interested. I think I'll do this quilt in more scrappy fabrics, not as coordinated colorwise as I've done the FWS quilt. Don't know for sure, as I really like things kind of matching.
