OKSGlad ... great start there lady! Now you really are waaaaaaaaay ahead of me! Nice job of those fussy cut centres and beautiful fabric blends. Looks like Eagle-Eyes DublB has found an easy solution to your dilemma!

Oksewglad - Your Dandy is lovely! I should've said so first! I'm so glad that you are on this trail now! The Beauty seems to be the hardest so far.

In a Slim Pickens drawl, "Welllll I'lllll be...." Thanks Bev! I am "sew glad" I did not trim those corners up. It still may not be a perfect 8 1/2" when corrected, but it should definitely look right. Note to self--refer to block before final piecing! I feel so much better. You guys are just the greatest!! Thanks for the welcome, too.

Thanks QNinaSue in regards to fabrics. I have a nice collection of Kansas Troubles fabrics and think I will sneak in some Jo Morton, Jan Patek, Thimbleberries, Minick and Simpson if they blend well. I have always used fabrics I like regardless of which "line" they come from.

Very pretty. I'm SewGlad you showed your mistake--helps us all to learn and makes me feel not as dumb. I love the fabric, especially that troublesome center square. Both blocks are beautiful.
I pray for peace today and hope I don't have to tomorrow.
