GrannyQ, your block is so pretty. You have a talent for getting great contrast in your blocks.
Ggal, love both of your blocks. Good idea for a substitute for the Indian--nice color combo; and Jewel is so pretty, makes me think of fall (it's 90* here at 9:15pm so I'm wishing for a little cool air).

I see I'm not the only one not liking the indian on horseback. I said so in the Yahoo group a few months ago but that wasn't appreciated. I will look for a replacement. I like the horse dance block

Ok made my sub for Indian on horse, its the Indian Hatchet:[ATTACH=CONFIG]346896[/ATTACH] Among other names for this block is Road to Kansas. 4 and 3/4 inch square with corner squares of 3" doubled back on two sides made it slightly bigger than the other squares. From www.quilterscache.com of free quilt block patterns.
