Where has the time gone???? Can we really be at 54 blocks for this week??? Returned home this week and finally emptied the car... Now I have to seriously concentrate on getting some blocks done...I picked up some sashing fabric while in NC....I didn't have my blocks with me so I hope it works... I will take some photos later this week. H.

Today figured I am 23 blocks behind, but I do have this week's done!! Hope to get some fabric selected tonight. I had a lot of trouble getting the right shaped pieces for Lucky Star and on Mother's Delight what a time to get the right pieces in the right places--even marked the patches. My dyslexia must be showing again.

I, too, will try to post later in the week. Although I do not have your good excuse, Anne, for moving from one place to another, life does its getting in the way of the quilting I would like to do. Chickens are moved into the hen house; they did not like the 'bullying' of the ducks and turkeys, and fled back to their A-frame the first night after we had moved them. So we had to make quick plans of another fence to divide the fowl; until then, the chickens are confined to their new hen house. Tomatoes are beginning to need harvesting; dew berries are still a full gallon a day production. Quineas are feathering out and starting to 'roost' on their 'beam' of wood. Potatoes need to be dug, and its an all morning watering time every morning with the drought.

So, come all everyone, show your beautiful 'eye' candy... The chains of love quilt goes to the LA quilters tomorrow!!

It isn't dyslexia...it's the darned mirror image stuff. I don't know how to think in reverse either and had to redo a couple of points. Just glad I caught it when I did.

Gardnergal970 you are definitely not alone in the reverse thinking. I just couldn't concentrate and got myself all muddled up and had to do a lot of reverse sewing but I made it in the end. We are women we are strong and we will not be defeated by tiny little triangles and those dang set in seams

I have reversed points in my blocks--just noticed them after I posted. I didn't even know what a mirror image is and didn't have problems until the Indian block. Did I change something when printing them? How do I get them back to "normal"? I guess it doesn't really matter--I'm just "slightly" LOL anal and want things going in the right direction. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong or what I may have changed in printing?
Thanks!

Jan--don't feel bad. I have done some of the blocks wrong too...like Captain's Wheel. I haven't looked at this one (to sew it) yet, so hope I remember if not, oh well! I like your block so you didn't "mess up" too bad.

Mirror Images ... I haven't noticed any way to print them in reverse ... is it my printer? or me?

And ... I haven't really worried about it for the PC blocks I've done, or during the FWS. If I catch it, I do ... if I don't so what? Does it really matter if a block goes East or West in its orientation? I don't think so!

OKSGlad
... I'm way in the outback on these blocks too .... and not looking good for a catch up anytime soon, being that I now have those other projects added!

Inspiration please, my dear Friends! As some of you know, I am working on a "Story of Butter" display. It will have many butter antiques ... churns, cream separators, butter bowls/printers/prints, etc. Well, we've now decided we need some colour, which normally would be potted mums. In this case, that's not realistic, due to the length of the exhibit, potential extreme heat an the obvious water requirements. So enter, quilts! I need to make a couple of table toppers and/or runners that can work into the display for that colour addition.

Please .... show me some of yours for inspiration!

QuiltE here are a few of my tablerunners, I think the blue one was a free pattern download but it was a long time ago. The others are just some I have made up to use up leftover fabrics. I resize blocks to make them smaller depending on where I want to put the tablerunner, make them the length and width I need. Hope this helps
