QE--I really like your New Jersey, you gave me an idea on something to do with the FQ I have like that...really like the touch of yellow w/the leaves and berries.

The fabrics are a little washed out in the picture, to what they are IRL!

... oh for sure, I never miss eating! I haven't posted any blocks for a couple of weeks, as I'd been waiting til I had the whole barnyard ready!! Still have a couple more I might do.

... boysenberries? blackberries? .... some kind of berries!!! All of the BB fabrics had made it into the PC, except that one and I'd been trying to find a block for it. I was hesitant, though am quite pleased with it, now that it's together! When I found the maple leaf fabric there was only a FQ and I knew then I wanted more. Now that I've been using it, I wish I could find LOTS more of it! The colours in it are just so me!

Wouldn't New Jersey make for a pretty quilt, all in the same block?
Or done as a scrappy string quilt?

QE--I know we *had* that leaf print at the shop where I work...not sure if it is still there or not, but I can check when I work next if you want.

Sew many creative ideas from just one block. Yes NJ would be great as string either scrappy with lights and darks or more controlled with say one string a solid. Both beautifully done.

Thanks Ladies!
I had fun doing these two ... not quite so intense as the barnyard animals were!

CarrieM ... think you'll recognize the NJ fabrics! And yes indeed, please check out about that Maple Leaf fabric!

Or I was thinking if you kept one or two of the strings in the same fabric (or colour) for all blocks, then let the scrappy go wild!
