Aaww great photo of you and your hubby QNS! My gosh that turkey is getting big. What does it weigh anyway? I would get too attached to them to have them for dinner! LOL

Great pic, QNS. Looks like Thanksgiving dinner there (although mine will come nicely wrapped in plastic from the market, thank you)

Look again guys, we are each holding a turkey...'cause we are equal in being a turkey ourselves...Jerry has one of the Toms, and I have the hen. No way to winter them here except in the freezer. They take in after the ducks to show them who is boss; the ducks, especially the little black one, will harass the turkeys. Little black duck loves to slip up behind a turkey and nip him/her in the rear.Duck eggs.

SIL wished to hold a turkey; but insisted on wearing his dark glasses. Gs is getting to 'pet' the turkey. SIL was not raised on a farm, and hates to see us put the turkeys into the freezer.

Great pics, QNS. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like your "Daffy" duck is a tease! I am surprised that you can pick the turkeys up--I figured they'd squirm all over.

They are gentle quiet creatures, who rule their territory but think we might be their parents...so they will let me 'catch' them and hold them without any problems. The eggs are the first duck eggs we have ever seen...thought everyone might want to look at them. We 'wrangle' the herd of turkeys with brooms guiding them along.

Love the pictures. What memories for your GS. Those turkeys will make a lot of feasting this winter. Will the daffies also go in the freezer?
