Thanks, carriem, for you bb wishes. I stay with my little Bernina sewing machine 1530...'cause it starts with my Mother's first three letters of her first name, and finishes with mine..and the Bernette Overlocker model 335. the latter has sit in a cabinet more than its been ever used.

I find people prefer certain models that they are drawn too, just the Chevy and Ford people. Rockford, Ill., car people said never purchase a Monday or Friday car of any make...on Friday the manufacture lines were thinking of the weekend parties, and Monday was the 'hangover' day.

We all know what JanRN is doing with her weekend and may be all next week...but we all hope she takes time out to chat with us about her machine.

I have to check out the area where she lives to see if there are any hotels/motels close by...I just might swing by some day. I think it's only a 1/2 days travel...just think of all the Quilt shops on the way...Lancaster and so on...I'm very familiar with that area.... keep on dreamin" Anne...

Come for a visit ladies!! If you can get to Pittsburgh, you can get here. I'm still waiting for DH to help me set it up. I'm dying knowing it's just sitting there waiting to be used!!! He got in late last night, is golfing now with DS so they promised me right after golf they'll set it up. I'm so nervous. Hope it doesn't turn into an expensive clothes hanger like my treadmill did LOL!! Will update you tonight---can you tell I'm excited???

JanRN I am sure you will have way more fun with your Sweet Sixteen than you will with a treadmill

Oh Jan, I am soooo excited for you! It is such a nice size machine, does not take up a whole room. Keep us posted and a photo too!

Mirabelle...what is really neat is that you welcome newcomers and make us feel like we belong. I also check morning and evening just to see what everyone is doing.
JanR...wow! How lucky can a girl get! Should be set up about now with you looking at it wondering where to start. Key is keep breathing or so I've heard....have fun.
OSGlad...no dull day in the farm! Glad you got to sleep in this morning. The men must be in the field. How is the harvest coming?
QNSue...you don't have to prove to us how spry you still are! You sound like you're as busy as a cat in a tin roof. Do you ever slow down? How is your BF doing? Have you seen her?
Honchey...I think it's a good idea for you to go to Pittsburg and see Jan's new toy with the bonus of all the LQSs. She did invite us and you could check it out for the group and see if she made a good buy. We have to help each other you know

Bf is slowing healing in the hospital, maybe will go home tomorrow afternoon. It is a six to eight weeks of recovery from major surgery. I visited her on Wednesday, back Friday for five minutes and then skipped any hospital visit 'cause it was wearing her out. We are in touch by cell phone when she feels like talking...I am as close as her phone. she did turn it off today, so she could rest better, but I never tried calling her; I let her call me. The week will progress as she wants it too...I just want her to heal completely and quickly...she knows she is welcome here for me to cook her cream of wheat that she loves and wait on her. Thanks for asking.

Anne, I think you need to check out JanRN LA Sweet Sixteen, take some pictures and let us all know about it. And a picture of you and JanRN together...with her machine all set up. You have us all excited JanRN. We want to see and hear more about it.

Yinz have to come and visit and play with my new toy! I've had so much fun with it. I've tried FMQ in the past and always gave up. This machine makes it feel like drawing with a pencil. (Of course, no one knows what I drew LOL) but it is so smooth. I do have to remind myself to breathe, Ggal; that and to relax my shoulders. I've only practiced on some of the blocks that were in The Box That Will Never Be Opened. I have a long way to go before I'll take on a "good" piece. But oh what fun!!
Thanks for all your support and encouragement, my friends.
