CarrieM, "Which permanent pens do you use to write on quilts???" Mirco pens are number 1 and in a variety of color. Just got a Pentel Gel Roller for Fabric in black and seems to work well without fading or bleeding. There are Micro brush (point) pens and rolling tip pens and most quilt stores carry them or they can be ordered on internet.

Oh I'm so excited about the bonus blocks. I love the idea o' signin' 'em! I'm thinkin' about usin' a Sharpie also. I hadn't decided what block I was gonna do yet. Now I have a direction ta look for.
I love hearin' about the farm life. I live in a midsize town. Kinda like the suburbs. (Something 15 min.s is far away.) My aunt lives in the country on 5 acres, (about 20 min.s away.) I love goin' ta help her ta plant the tomatoes & pick black-eyed peas. Nothin' was planted for the last 2 years because there was no rain.

Glad you ladies enjoyed my FART story. DGS is 19, soph at Penn State as are the 3 buddies he was with. I forgot to mention the clerk at Starbucks didn't charge me for my coffee--said we made her day!
I'm not getting a lot of practice on my HQ Sweet 16. It's easier than I thought it would be and so much fun. It's also the perfect size--takes up about as much room as a card table. I've been watching lots of Lea Day's videos and hope next week that I'll have more time to play (I mean practice). You have all been so supportive--I second guess myself about everything, especially a large purchase like this. I'll post a pic if I ever accomplish something worth showing.

Oksewglad...mentioning then World Dairy Expo brought back memories. What a great event to attend. Did you drive up and back the same day? That's a little bit of a haul when there is so much to do there.
Thanks for all the tips on the pens to use. I'll be looking for them.
QuiltE..what is RSWF and are you the miss Mazel that is thinking of going to Madison? When might that be? My daughter only lives about an hour thirty minutes south of there and I owe her a visit before the snow flies.
Carrie, your chocolate walk sounds fun. Maybe your youngest daughter is ready fir dance lessons.

& It's heavy! I didn't git the other Letters or the # at the end. It spells his Name & has his Football # at the other end o' the name. I actually got it done the year he graduated.

I'll be disappearing again the first couple weeks of November as I'm working the whole show.
Miss Mazel is the cow that I made. So the trip mentioned was more so for her, not me! WDE used to have a dairy art show and I keep thinking how nice it would be to show her there, amidst cow things, instead of the way I have had to show her til now! If you missed out on seeing her before ... here she is ....
