That's why I have to stay out of those fabric stores!

Just found out today that my friend's mom passed away. My mother was right when she said 'death always comes in threes...'

Nina, There's a website Sewitsforsale.com that you might want to sell them very reasonably or just for the postage...

Honchey, nice idea! Or maybe list the magazines on craigslist or Goodwill.com
SBG, so what's the news about babies being born that you know? Maybe the babies come in threes. That's quite a project, your Hawaiian quilt.

Hmmm... I don't have any wives' tales about babies being born. Anyone else?

I'm really enjoying the Hawaiian quilt. I am appliqueing the inside line of the dolphin ring now and I've gotten about 1/3 of the way around it. It gets easier the more you do. It will be my handwork project to take to Memphis tomorrow. I'm going to see the kids for the weekend.

QNS, here all the libraries take magazine and book donations, and then sell them for a quarter or so to raise funds for the library. Or you could donate to a local church for a rummage sale. It does get expensive to ship magazines.

Just keep sorting, QNS...you will enjoy your open space...yesterday MrOK and I took a road trip for parts..I took my log cabin variation along and finished the binding...yeah it's done...need to post pitches of my recent first finishes.

I also have a quilt top and backing pieced for a kid's quilt...I cut post card blocks and staggered them...finishes 40 x 56...need to get batting lined up before I quilt it...I pulled out one of the UFO tops and got it sandwiched..still taped to the lr floor...tomorrow will use some Elmer's around the outer border to keep it basted together...whoa after 1:30...must get my beauty sleep...

Hi everyone, we just got back from 4 days at a beach about 1/2 hour north of us. You can park your RV's along an old highway right on the beach. Saw dolphins go by almost every day. Amazing!!! Just so relaxing hearing those waves.

I am sandwiching my tablecloth today, and will take a photo when it is completed. I don't use any batting, as I like them to lay flat.

QNS - I don't have any preference as to colors on my scrap quilt box! I use everything!

Annie, (my "puppy") is so much better today. She is starting to even eat a li'le bit of dry food today. She is her puppy self again. She just gets tired quicker than before.

Yesterday DH & I were so tired from staying up the night before. Neither of us did anything but lay around.
Today the 2 of us made up for it. We did a ton of yard work! We even mixed up some Reclaim & vegetable oil to treat the mesquite that is growing in the yard. We decided not to treat the ones that are in the fenced in part as we were afraid that Annie would lick it off. Tomarrow we are gonna buy some diesel to mix w/the reclaim & treat those mesquites.

Terribly sad day for us. My husband's sister lost her battle with cancer and left us. We are waiting to hear what the funeral arrangements will be. She and hubby were only 10 months apart and very close.

Prayers and hugs, SBG for you and Mr. SBG. It's never easy to use a loved one. May you be blessed with many good memories and them remain in your heart of love forever. May He give you strength to mourn her loss; and remember she is no longer in pain.

SBG, I am so sorry to hear of you and your husband's loss. I will keep you both and your family in my prayers for all of you to be comforted by the great comforter.
