It has been really nice here! I did not know that Phoenix got cold until we were here at this time last year. It has been in the Mid 60's to low 70's this past week, and it is suppose to be in the mid 70's this week. The nights get cold though - low 40's. At least high 30's to low 40's is cold to me -- LOL! We are here again this week, as my son has been having Oral Surgery and I'm helping out with the kids. I'm going to my favorite fabric shop this week. I need to get border fabric for my Bonnie Hunter Mystery. All the fabric in the store is $6.95, and they have two huge racks of sale fabric for $3.95. I find just fabulous fabrics!
OK...I sure don't feel like I get done near what I did a year ago now that I am working 3 days a week in addition to all the other "regular" stuff. I just have to look a little harder to find time!
givio--I went out and took a few pictures for you.
The first is all 24 blocks...12 w/purple background will be my quilt and 12 w/blue are for DH's side of the bed (we share our bed with 2 80-lb dogs so it is easier for us to each have our own quilts instead of sharing one big one). I didn't turn my lights for the pictures...so sorry they are a little dark...they are track lights so I adjust for where I need them usually.
Then the next pictures show the setting triangles (same as background/alternating blocks to make the stars have a "floating" effect) and also the borders that will go on each quilt. I showed 2 pictures of the blue since the one showing the stars isn't as "true" in color as the 2nd one.
Binding on the blue will be the patterned blue and purple binding will be black. These will finish around twin size.

O Carrie, I love your colors and layout. Wonderful, and two beautiful quilts
Ok, just found this on face book; It's so cold here, the cows are giving ice cream instead of milk.
We went to the Dr for a wellness check today; Dh counted the hens tonight and we are missing our rooster and two hens. Nasty predators.....two foot or four feet.... they are gone.

Wow, you have finished a lot of star blocks. The border by the butterflies is gooorgeous! It reminds me of the wonderful art of mosques in India. Your Taj Mahal quilts. :-) They looks so well together, the turquoise ties it all together to make one composition. Nice!

Sometimes its nice to be wrong. DH was awakened this morning by our rooster, Roo, sounding off at Sunrise. All is well and safe.
Snow predicted for today and tonight. School was released early today. So far, so good. Everyone keep warm and safe.

I took my DM to have her cataract surgery. It went well. Then I bought paint & did the cutting in around the edges. DH made me stop for supper (tacos!) Then we watched TV as I was too tired to pop. I will get more done tomorrow.
