Here's a picture. As you can see I can't piece it with another fabric, that doesn't work. I need it fast, they have their birthday in 2 weeks!

Here's Isa's Quilt I finished it last night. Some might recognize certain fabrics (or a block)

Anael what a sweet quilt for Isa, wish I could help you with your problem but I have never seen that fabric. Can you purchase any fabric locally?????? you're running out of time

I have finished piecing my Scrappy Stars quilt, tomorrow will add the borders and it can go to the longarmer next week, my almost first finish for the year

Thanks Mirabelle! Yes I can and I think I will have to. I'm been searching through my stash but I don't have enough of one fabric for the backing.
I should not have switched the backings The backing I used for Isa's quilt was for Bram's quilt but I thought I had enough of the Cowboy fabric. Should have measured first.......I do have flowery and paisley fabric but that's not suitable for Bram's quilt! Another lesson learned!!

Anael--great little quilt for Isa. For the backing--are you short on length or width? I sometimes will cut it down the middle and add the fabric there so it looks like it wasn't just added on the end/side. So for example if you have a blue that will match, you would have a strip of cowboy fabric, then blue, then cowboy again...just a thought.

Anael...I agree with Carrie. You could piece the back using the cowboy fabric as the focus and pick up one of the cowboy colors for the additions. It will look like you planned it. Beautiful quilt for Isa.
Janie...it's good to hear that you are now returning to quilting after your "vacation" with your DDIL. I hope she is doing well. Good thing that QNS could help you too.
QuiltE....yes...just what is the gift you gave yourself? How long will you keep us in suspense?
Honchey...fleeing the cold. Good for you. Take care of your knee.
it's -12 here this morning. I used my wool quilt last night and kept toasty warm in our unheated bedroom. My DH wants to go outside and plow but I hope he comes to his senses. The entire county is shut down...no one should be on the roads except emergency vehicles so we're not going anywhere. Me?....I have the BH mystery ready for the last border but haven't settled on what it should be so I'll work on something else today. Maybe the second SYE for January. Stay warm and safe!

Short on length I can look in my stash to see if I have a matching solid and do a stripe in the middle from side to side. Great thinking ladies, thanks! Now off to find matching fabric

No matching fabrics in my stash. Meaning I have to go on a FART tomorrow. That's ok, it's easier to find a solid matching (I hope).

Anael, I think red, green or yellow would work or the blue on the back. Yes, I am glad I woke up in the early morning hours and helped you.

I fear fires in homes when it gets so cold and last night, early morning I smelled something too hot, so got myself up to check it out...Dh had not turned off the space heater in the living room and it said "87" on the top of it. So I shut it off the the smell disappeared. Could have been a different story this morning. Blessed Be I got up and shut it off.

Be warm and save, it says colder today and tonight...and after tomorrow, it will break back into more normal temperatures.
