QNS--cookies look yummy! We are having a cookie exchange at our church for just the ladies next week...everyone brings 3-5 dozen cookies and then takes home that many of each of different kinds. We will have a prayer time and devotional. This is the 2nd one; last year it was a very peaceful time. Your variety has given me some new ideas!

Dublb--at our house, the middle meal is lunch and the evening meal is supper. It can be confusing when someone invites you for "dinner" though...I usually cover myself by asking what time they want us there.

For as long as I can remember it was always Breakfast, Lunch & then Dinner...Now on Sunday when my grandchildren visit we have "Dunch" around 3..not dinnertime and too late for lunch..
I see eveyone is busy, busy, busy.....I've been trying to straighten out and remove a dresser from the laundry room..New washer and dryer coming next week...rediscovering all sorts of fabric!!!!! I'll be busy wrapping it on foam core boards for quite awhile...DH just shakes his head as he passes by...I have to give him the evil eye to keep him from commenting....Now to start my prep for dinner or is it supper???

When DH & I had our first Easter we were invited ta my DAunt's house for Easter Dinner. I kept pushin' DH ta git there. He was so confused 'cause I'm always late for things. We got there at 2:00 & Dinner was over. I was crushed. He finally got it. LOL If we are invited for Dinner it is at lunch time.

Honchey---we have "lupper" instead of dunch as a mid-afternoon meal.

I got my Rosie block done for the week. Tomorrow I will be cutting fabric for PC bonus blocks....speaking of which, I got a nice, very soft, pretty package in the mail today....

Mirabelle's blocks have arrived! Oh and I did *have to* peek. They are very "Mirabelle"!

Have you ever got a quilt all planned, partly made and then decide you completely don't like it? My first was today. I had a project from class on the design wall and it just wouldn't speak to me no matter how I looked at it. Took it down and put it in a box sort of like your closet, Jan. No further plans for it. So I got out the PC blocks and they are now on the design wall and I'm abandoning the idea of a reverse quilt so I can be a little more purposeful in quilting the PC blocks. I did get more of the bonus blocks completed and I'm really enjoying the variety of my sewing since I've started using headers and Enders. It's fun to see the stack of patches grow!

Ggal, I had 2 quilt tops I just didn't like. I finished them, put them in The Box and tried to forget about them. I felt so guilty about them being in there, drove me crazy. I found someone who is just starting to longarm and gave them to her--I do NOT want them back-ever. I'm really trying to "unclutter" not just my closet but my life. My BFF's cancer is back and inoperable. She's made me realize what's important. It's just fabric; sure it was about $30 worth but by giving those tops away my guilt & stress levels went down and I'm helping another quilter. Maybe someone would like the quilt that you don't want--someone may give it a home or in a few months you may like it again.

Carriem thanks for letting me know that the blocks arrived, I can just picture you unwrapping the parcel and peeking I am pleased you liked them, there was a lot of humming and harring over what block to make.
I have just hit a road block in my plan on having Jamestown Landing finished today, I don't have enough fabric for the final border and binding. I need about 1.8 yards and I only have smaller lengths, my Dear Dear DH has just been helping me to decide what shade of purple I need and he said "well you know how it fix this, just buy more fabric" gotta love him.
So as soon as I finish chatting I am going to so shopping online. I would rather wait for my fabric than have to pay $28 per metre (39inches) I can purchase 6 yards delivered to my door for less than 2 metres over here

QNS, your cookies look so delicious, I could eat some now as breakfast. Sometimes we do Brunch here, breakfast and lunch at about 11 am.

Today is decision day. They will be on their way to the UMC in a few minutes, appointment at noon. In the past few days I embroidered blocks for a quilt for my grandson, they're on my design wall and now I have no idea how to put them together. So yesterday I made some Free Standing Lace Christmas Ornaments and I guess I will make more today.

Mirabelle, I do the same, shopping for fabric online. It's not as expensive here as where you are but $ 20 per metre is a lot too. One FQ is almost $ 5 here, online I can get a yard for the same price. I know we all have to support our LQS and I do when I can but when I need a few yards I'm shopping in the US!
