Jan-I'm so sorry about your DM's house. I can see how that would be hard!. #1DSon moved inta DMIl's house about 3.5 years ago & he marrried 3 years ago on Dec. 28th. They love the house. DH still gits sad when goin' over there, though.

Aneal-I'm still prayin' for you & your family. {Huggs}

GG-I'm sleepin' late every mornin'. I'm not settin any alarms. It is helpin' me ta git more sleep.

QE-I do have carpal tunnel & it is a combination o' things. Machine sewin', GFG, hand quiltin', computer, & machine piecin' all contribute ta it. If I change things enough & sleep w/my wrist brace, I keep it under control. Also I only work on GFG when I'm waitin' or travelin'. I do love your GFG! It has such soft colors!!!

Honchey-Did ya ever git around ta sewin?? Wow, ya had a-lot ta do? I hope that ya got ta sew some.

Carrie-I love Thread Heaven. It works so much better that bees wax.

I'll git started on my BB's next week sometime. I've got 'em all planned out.

My DS just called. The little one passed away during the night. With the two babies everything is well. He sounded so relieved and so happy because they still will have twins. Knowing the little one would not have survived no matter what and this procedure saved his brother it's easier to accept what happened. I'm happy they didn't have to make the final decision, I'm very happy all went well and I'm still sad because of the little one. But most of all I'm happy they didn't have to make the decision to let the other twin go as well. So let's hope now this ordeal is over the remainder of the pregnancy will be without any more problems.

Anael, it's nice to hear some good news about your kids---they have been through a lot. Hopefully, now they can settle in and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy and all the joy that lies ahead. These 2 babies are so special.

OK, love the PM and story. Happy BD a day late. Yea, I'm still thin on the inside; DH is still thin (he's a runner, I'm a quilter LOL).

QE, great job on the GFG. I have to dig mine out from under a pile of older (and really bad) first quilts I made and post a pic. Yinz will get a laugh out of it--most pieces are hexagons, some are strange shapes.

Had our office Christmas party last night. Made a Christmasy table runner for my grab bag gift--she loved it. I always forget to take pics when I make runners. My gift was Joanne's and Amazon gift cards. We only have 7 employees (and spouses) so it was a nice relaxed party unlike my previous employer. He lived in a huge house that you were afraid to even sit on the furniture let alone eat in the room. I do have a "food " hangover (no alcohol)--ate gnocchis at 9pm last night and they're still sitting in there like a lead weight. Lots of walking and shopping today so hope to burn off those gnocchis!!

Busy site; lots of chatter here. Carrie, happy the box reached you, and yes, the chocolate star one is the cowboy cookie. Hope yesterday was a happy day for you,

Ok, sounds like lots of fun sewing with gd. Very special time. Other Iowa packages should have arrived also!! Ok, may have to fix one up special with 12 different goodies in it for you.

Thanks for the update Anael, hope it all works out well for everyone.

As I told the ones who ask...when I 'cream' my sugars and butter together for cookies, I add a small box of no sugar, no cook jello pudding and 1/3 cup of vegetable shortening...like for the Cowboy Cookie, I added chocolate pudding. I blend all dry ingredients together will the chips and nuts, then add it slowly to the wet ingredients so the nuts and chips do not all go to the 'bottom' of the pan. cookie scoops do help to make all the cookies the same size so they cook evenly...parchment paper keeps the pan clean and easily slides off on to the counter with no mess to clean up later. So much better and easier than the good old days!!!

These are the ones we carry in the shop where I work...http://www.paperpieces.com/

Thread Heaven is a product that you run your thread through before sewing...it pulled through the fabric smoothly and also reduces the twisting of thread. They have a chart here to show the uses: http://www.threadheaven.com/home.html

OK--happy birthday, just a day late. It was fun to read the article and learn a little more about you.

Our oldest DD shares a birthday with both of my husband's parents (Feb 22nd). They were 60 and 65 when she was born...now DD is almost 15. DFIL died 9 years ago, but DD still enjoys doing something with Grandma for their special day.

Thanks for the BD wishes.
Another birthday couple Carrie. So special that Grandma can spend a day with her girl--I know whichever one of us goes first the other one will have a bittersweet day on their birthday.
Okay now got to get ready for Christmas.
