It's a great idea! It just never occurred ta me. LOL

Good night all, it's late here (11.24 pm) so I'm going to try and get some sleep. CU all tomorrow!

Breakfast menu is growing fast in the virtual RV...so many good recipes to try. Its so nice you all shared your favorite ways to fix the first meal in the day. I saved them all....QuiltE, JeanieG, and Dublb. Dublb yours looks like it would be perfect fixed outside over a fire and the same with JeanieG's.

And GG, your ideas appeal to me although...no...I...don't...do...that....or...pp. It is a challenge with one eye to line things up and I don't always do a perfect job. Its like trying to set a glass of milk on the counter and it misses, spilling the contents on the floor. Hate that, but that is life.

I love how we each have our own ways that work for each o' us. It is wonderful ta learn from each other but also ta know that there is no pressure ta do things we don't like, or don't like us.

Gee I go missing for a day and it takes me half an hour to catch up

Anael the bushfires in Australia are in the southern part of the country absolutely nowhere near me thank goodness, unfortunately it is that time of the year when bushfires and floods occur

QuiltE I will have to try the apple omelette that has be intrigued although I am not a big breakfast person, bowl of cereal and coffee for me.

Oh and what is a Nanaimo bar (think I spelt it correctly) don't think you can buy them out here.

I will just have to spend more time in the RV to try all these different foods.

GG hope you are not too sure after your mishap

But for now it is off to the sewing room, I only have the last 2 borders to quilt on this raffle quilt and it is done done done. 60 inches square and I have used 12 bobbins so far

Almost forgot
JeanieG have you finished your Easy Street, I have checked our the Link on Bonnies blog and the quilt tops look fabulous, very envious that I didn't participate. Think I might download the instructions and put it on the to do list

Mirabelle - I have not finished Easy Street yet. The actual piecing of all the sections until Step 7 and 8 were really easy compared to RRCB and Orca Bay (she used a lot of 3 1/2" pieces). Step 7 and 8 blocks are complicated as you have to make sure the foursies are going the correct direction, or the secondary pattern gets screwed up. I lay all the pieces on my ironing board, then pick them up two at a time to sew together. When I get all the rows completed, I grab the sheet with the instructions and double check that the pattern is going the way it is suppose to. I have 12 more Block A's and 7 Block B's to put together. Check out the Yahoo Quiltville Chat Groups photo section. I really am liking the more plain background, rather than the black on white busy prints we are using. I could make this quilt again, but would use one solid background I think! The colors the people are using to make this quilt are amazing!

Good Night Anael ... sleep tight!

Gee MiraB ... and you think lots happened in the day you were away.
There's been a lot of Chatty-Cathy going on here, in the few hours I was gone!
Nanaimo Bars ... a Canadian specialty ... the recipe is back a few pages.
Apple Omelette ... I probably eat it more for supper, than breakfast!
Glad you are long away from the fires ... saw them on the TV tonight and horrors!

Applique ... take a look at the Sulky link. They mention a fusable that you put on the right side of the fabric for applique and then peel it off after it's done, without any residue. Anyone familiar with the product?

Update ... have my new system ordered!!
Now that phase is over.
Back to the sewing room and get those BBs signed and ready for the mail.

It has been a good day for chatter here.

I haven't been on much, but did get all my y-seams finished...all 48 of them! The BBs should be all together by the end of tomorrow. I can't wait to get the next package and see what arrives...expected on Thursday (maybe it will come tomorrow instead).

GGal--sorry to hear about your fall!
