Jan, your table runner turned out beautiful! Great work on the quilting - you did a great job! How fun that you finally got to use your new "toy"!!!

Mystery Pardner ... you can relax and rest assured that your MB will be en route to you, on schedule! I got it finished today, and have it's baby sister that I'll keep about 1/2 done now. Hope you like it!

CarrieM
... whew! you make me tired with all you accomplished at your retreat. Looks like not much rest in the R+R! Quilt looking great!!

Honchey ... How good of you to cover for your colleague. Just hope you don't get too tired, and can keep the FUN in your "work"! Carrot caoke followed by a soak sounds like a perfect way to end your day!

JanRN
... OMG ... how stunning ... the design, the colours, the piecing and the quilting! CONGRATULATIONS for taking that big step to do something "real"!!! Here's to many more finishes. Is your Rosie the next "real" thing?

Jan I love your table runner, it is beautiful. Pam Bono designs are definitely challenging but the end result is worth it.

Now off the computer its crunch time at the doc's

Mirabelle, good luck and I hope the testresults are negative!
The border on your butterfly quilt is beautiful!

Jan, I love your table runner! The Pam Bono designs scare me, I want to do one but I haven't got the nerve to try! You did a great job on the quilting.

Carrie, lovely colours, can't wait to see it finished!

I didn't do much this weekend, just a bit of sewing, been on the computer and watched movies. My Kitty was stressed after spending a day at tha vet's, she redecorated my living room a few times. I wasn't very pleased
The SewGrands are ok. My DS was watching Bram on telebaby yesterday and he saw a lot of nurses at his incubator. He got worried so he called to ask what was going on. Appeared Bram was taken off the morphine but couldn't adjust so they put him back on, that was all.
This is Bram, picture is taken yesterday. The black spot on his arm is from the infection.

What a precious baby, is he sucking his thumb, he look so peaceful. I hope the infection clears up quickly.

Thank you everyone for thinking of me, I must admit I have had a cry since coming home. The test results were not negative but were positive. It was skin cancer but the doc assured me that he had taken all of it. I have to be extremely careful with the sun now that I have had one there may be more. I have a check up in three months so now I can breathe again.

On a happier note I have received an e-mail from my "new" longarmer and my Pony Club quilt will be next on the frame and she has assured me that it will be in the mail back to me by the middle of April. She wants me to enter it into the big Queensland Quilters Show in October.... will think about that one

Mirabelle, the infection is gone, this is from the stuff that went under his skin instead of in his vein. It will leave a scar and he might need plastic surgery.

Oksewglad, those minies are stunning!

MiraB ... I'm sure you feel that's a bit of Good News/Bad News. Vigilant monitoring from here on ... another good reason to keep on sewing to stay out of the sun! Oh perhaps a reason for that new sewing machine, Doctor's Orders for your treatment and therapy!!!!

And BTW, you're not going to "think" about the Queensland show ... you're going to register and enter! What a compliment about your Pony!!! And being that she wants it in the show, I'm thinking there'll be some exceptional quilting to come too.

How exciting ... another Pony soon to trot along!

Honchey, that sounds like a busy week with DST beginning. janRN, beautiful table runner; so glad you are enjoying your new toy@ QuiltE, you always seem to be on top of things, guess the mystery block is no different. Mirabelle, the good/bad news would throw anyone for a short time, then with true knowledge you can face the basic facts and let out a sign of relief that they 'got' it all. yes, enter your pony club quilt into the Queensland contest; it will take the overall championship. (Due to the fact of my heritage, i have 'fey' moments, not of my choice and that's what it told me as i read your news. It has been right about 99% of the time! That's why i can open the garage door for our kids to pull their car into it upon their unannounced arrival!)

Now to get myself moving and face the day; i was so tired last night, the bed is a mess from all my tossing and turning. The kids made it back home just fine. Dh is happpppy with his new computer and is entertained royally. Thank goodness!! Whomever made the comment about him, hit the nail on the head, so no need to think i would take offense. He has 'offered' to help finish up the kitchen mess from yesterday....gee, i cannot wait to get dressed and run into the kitchen to have 'fun' with him before breakfast!! lol!!

Ok, sweet talk those cows into producing more milk with you lending a hand in time of need. That's what the good farm wives do their whole lifetime and smile in their sleep!! Thought i could by-pass dgs knowledge by spelling out E A S T E R c a n d y yesterday at the table for lunch...but he got this bright eyed look and turned to his mother and said, "i want some candy!!' Bless his heart, he cried when he was seated in his seat to go home, he wanted to stay here....where he got his way all the way, except for the candy!!

Thanks for the update on the Sewgrands, Anael. may they continue to improve and grow some more!!
