I finished my PC Blocks!
I finished my PC Blocks!!
I finished my PC Blocks!!!

QNSue ... Keener to have April's done already. You wonder if you will get the others done on time? You could do them all this month! I have faith you will join us with the FFC, after you get a few more things done.

DDamsel .... {{{HUGS}}} to help you thru your sad times. I'm SO happy that you had a good Birthday weekend with your sisters. As for sundresses .... hard to imagine that!!! Granted a year ago today it was an extremely abnormal +23C. Today -7C!

CarrieM ... yes, my mouth woke up ... and I made the rest of my PC Blocks!!! (Just in case you didn't see it above!! OH too bad for your kids and the Nationals. Just NOT FAIR! Lucky you to have BIL and MIL to share their cast off plants! I have done a lot of interplanting on the edge of the bush here. One that gives me good spring colour is Periwinkle. So pretty then! Good for you for collecting FFC coordinates, even in not deciding what they will become!

Anael ... another early springer ... working in the gardens? I guess I am going to have to show all of you a picture of my yard and lawn! I asked about the weight, because I know there is one here. Of course, along with other accomplishments and stages as you already know.

BTW ... Did I tell everyone that I finished my PC Blocks?
*giggles*

Photo Ops will follow!!

Wow a sundress. We had snow again. Kids out early and all 5 descended after noon until about 3:00. I was ready for them to do home!! GGal the "amazing" Grandma got a little short tempered today as she's only human!
Carrie--too bad meds aren't working. Haven't had a migrane in a long while and can't imagine how you manage with them. Hope you can get long lasting relief soon. How about bleeding hearts in your shade? They have a lot of foliage until mid summer when they die back, but I bet they would last longer in the shade. For perennial climbers would a sweet pea work? Mine does well on the east side of the house near the lower level so lots of afternoon shade.
QE--I feel the same way after a dental appointment and learned to take it easy as well. Are you getting this blast of snow from the Midwest too? All right I just checked the thread as I'm getting this post together and see that you have your PC's done. Whoopee!!! I'm so envious.
QNS--I can't imagine having to share my sewing space with my DH! I guess DH and I have worked together so much over the years that I like my quilting time away from him.
Well if you'd lie to mosey over to these two threads and see what I have accomplished I guess I can whopee, too!

And then finished this from the last QBuddy get together.
Time to call it a day this gal is whipped and book work awaits me tomorrow.

I had a great trip. DD & #2DS & I had a long talk on Thurs. night. #2 DS was so excited ta git ta play w/his Niece & nephew. DM & DGM came in on Fri. DH came in Sat morn. We had great meals, a good time sewin', watched some good movies, & I went ta a special meetin' ta rewrite the bylaws for the homeowners association.
DGM did throw a few fits while there. I guess at 93 she has lost her "filters" & thinks she can do or say anything. On Sat we had a very late breakfast & I offered her lunch twice only ta be turned down. Then at 4:00 she threw a fit about nobody eattin' lunch. DM made her a sandwhich. We then had supper at 5:00 LOL ('cause I had that meetin' at 6:00.) Yesterday, after everybody else went home, all that were there were DM DGM & I. DM said that she wanted her Sunday nap. DGM said that she wanted ta read. So I sewed & washed some old linens that had been in storage till now. DM woke at 5:30. We talked while I frog stitched the last row in my PC friendship quilt (for the second time, as I had sewed it back on exactly the same wrong way again.) I asked at 6 if they wanted ta eat & DGM said that she couldn't eat that "early." At 7:00 she said that she wanted ta go & see Vicky as soon as she got out o' church. Well Vickie's church would relise at 7:00 & it would take her about 30 min.s ta git home. (If ya consider that she would talk a bit then a 12 min. drive home.) In the meantime, DGM fell asleep. At 8:00 DM & I were starvin' so we got the leftovers out & fixed the meal. DGM grudgingly ate too. Then she went ta change her undergarment. It took 30Min.s. (Her Dr prescribed support hose are so hard ta pull up & all her movements are very slow.) At 9:00 she was gonna go over there unannounced. Vickie has canceled her land line & DGM didn't have her address book, so we couldn't call. We wouldn't let her go over there. She said that I had been too busy all day ta take her over there. Then she griped about DM's nap bein' too long. She fussed at DM & I for 30 min.s. Why didn't she say that she wanted ta go & see Vicky earlier in the day? I could have taken her or DM would have taken a shorter nap & then taken her. Argue. I do feel for my DM.
Taday DGM was so much sweeter. She was patient while I vacuumed & wash the sheets that were used while we were there. She even arraigned my afghan on ta my couch. It would have taken me 1 min but she took 15 min.s. It does look good! The beds are all made & the floors downstairs are all clean the house feels welcomin'. Now we are home.

Clapping for QuiltE, well done on finishing your PC blocks.

I have put the butterfly quilt aside for a few days and concentrated on April's MB today, its half done

Anael I have been in shorts and sleeveless t-shirt today with airconditioner going I can't imagine living in such cold climates.

Had a bit of running around to do today, first drop off DH's vehicle for a service, then take both the dogs to the vet for their annual checkup and needles ($300 later) its hilarious with them in the car as they won't stop barking and both want to sit on my lap but of course I am driving so DH sits in the back seat with them and the windows wound down. definitely a kodak moment.

Haven't taken a photo of my threads today but will do it tomorrow, DH leaves for work around 10am tomorrow then it is full steam ahead on MB's and butterly quilt and cleaning up my sewing room.

Bev I hope things get better for you, I bet your DGM is cranky at growing old...

QE--congrats on getting those last few PC blocks done! Now comes the fun of setting them.

OK--your baby quilts are great and I am sure will be much appreciated. Also your table topper is a nice too...I recognize some KT fabrics in the middle.

Dublb--good to have you back. Sounds like for the most part the trip to Brady was a good one. I am sure your DM appreciated having some help with DGM for the last few days.

Mirabelle--gotta love those vet bills. I have to take one of our dogs to the vet this morning...she split her nail pretty bad...not looking forward to that bill. It's nice to get the errands done though so you can get back to sewing.

Thanks Everyone!
I slept well, despite my excitement with their completion!
Next the cornerstones and sashings .... and as CarrieM mentioned, the fun part of deciding the placements!
Although, when doing the FWS, I found that stage more frustration than FUN ... but the results are well worth the struggles!!

OKSGlad ... busy busy busy ... quilts and Grands! Thanks (NOT!) for sending the storm this way too ... a little each day, but not a wicked blast. Not Yet, anyway. All could change ... and with my luck that will be Friday night when I have to go away. Good idea on Bleeding ♥s for CarrieM. They can put on such a nice show and a nice change of height above most hostas. Great assortment of Little Quilts you've completed and will be giving to a much appreciated location. I really like the tailored look of your runner! Hope you are keeping it for yourself!

DublB ... Remember the good times of the GTG, and {{{HUG}}} your Mom for what she endures when solo. I'm sure your Mom really appreciated the time with everyone, even if not able to have a break from DGM's care.

MiraB ... careful! you're almost making it sound that you're glad to see your DH out the door and on his way back to work! Comical, you chauffeuring, and DH and the pups enjoying the back seat! Another keener with your MB ... you do know this is still MARCH, and not APRIL!! And priorities are your DDs birthday quilt! Or are you suggesting my Out to Pasture gave you the realization you needed the break?

CarrieM ... Poor Puppers and his/her nail! Travel safely in your latest snow and blow!

Back from the vet....thankfully she was able to just clip the nail way back and surprisingly they only charged me for a "nail clipping" ($10)...I expected an office visit charge too since we saw the vet. Beatrice is staying in the other room on the couch away from everyone so no one touches her foot, but at least isn't in the pain she was before.

Roads were worse going in than coming home...things thawed a bit. I stopped to get lunch for the kids since today was the day we were going to go out. They were ok with that...it was better than leftovers.

QuiltE, congrats on finishing Now to decide how to put it together!

Bev, big (((HUG))) for you and your mom. I'm sure she's having hard times with your DGM.

I worked on my FWS today. One block took almost all afternoon (coffeebreaks included ). I love the endresult but not all the work. When the Pinetree block was finished I saw I had one small block sewn the wrong way. I thought about keeping it that way but the more I looked at it the less I liked it so it was ripping time! Now it looks ok. Tomorrow I'm gone most of the day so this row will have to wait till tomorrow night or Thursday.

Bram and Isa are still ok. Sleeping most of the time and so they should!
