GrannyQ--great job with the label.

QE--you're making good progress on your PC blocks. Do you do your own quilting or will you send this off?

Mirabelle--I am sure that strip quilt will be much appreciated! Does your DD know you are making her the butterfly quilt or is it a surprise?

Anael--cute outfits. So happy to hear the twins good reports.

Mirabelle, it doesn't have to be a work of art, it's a work of love, bright and happy and that's what's important! I love your string quilt!

So much news and so much to catch up with. I love sitting here reading all your posts-feels like we're in that virtual RV having our morning coffee.

QE-I love the block you made--awesome job pp and picking colors. It's so soft & feminine and just says "friendship". You're getting closer to finishing PC. Just remember while arranging and rearranging blocks that there comes a time when you just say "done!" and sew it together (not nagging LOL).

QNS, happy anniversary. MrJanRN & I celebrated 43 yrs yesterday. I mean I celebrated in Cleveland at the Quilting Expo and he celebrated a day at home alone. We both enjoyed our days LOL.

GrannyQ, waht a lovely label and tribute to the PC riders. I would love one and would treasure it like I treasure all of you on this ride.

Anael, awesome news and pics. I can't believe how little dimples are showing up on their arms and little legs. My grandmother always said dimples were kisses from the angels. They must be the best dressed babes ever!

Bev, I'm laughing (with you). If I had a penny for every pp stitch I ripped out and swore at I'd be a very wealthy woman. Hate ripping pp stitches.

Mirab & Carrie & OK, you are the busiest, most productive people I know. I feel like such a slacker when I read of your accomplishments. I'm trying to remind myself what Anne said--just have fun with quilting. But there are so many quilts out there that I want to make! I have to live to be 100!

More about the Expo later--saw some really neat things that I'll tell you about. Have a great day!

Jan & QNS, Happy Anniversary!!!.. I still can't get over how much Mirabelle, Carriem & Ok accomplish with their sewing/quilting...I think they have some elves secreted away in their sewing rooms...
GrannyQ, The label turned out beautiful..simple, elegant, classy..what size font/hoop did you use???
I'm visiting DS in DE today and coming home on Sunday...She brought me See's California Brittle home from Ca..She was there for 2 weeks..Have to pick it up so I can take it with me to NC...
I'll be sewing my April MB when I get down there..DH is anxious to leave..he hates the cold weather, splitting wood and no golf in the winter up here....
Anael, Isa & Bram are the best dressed kids in the nursery...the dimples made me smile..little chubby arms & legs..you just want to scoop them up & hold them close...
Everything seems to be moving right along with the MB... I'm also in 3 swap groups here on the QB which need to be done before I leave for NC and I completed one of the 3 obligations last night...starched, pressed, cut, packaged 20 sets of 50 (1000) 1.5 postage stamps...I was up until 1 a.m. just needed to get it out of the way...enough about me...
now just to wait for the MB's to arrive...this is the best and worst part of the ride!!!!!

GrannyQ, I PM you but decided I like it better with all the names on it, like you posted. With 14? blocks, that will make it 15?, just perfect for a 3 by 5 block quilt arrangement, but please add Janie's name to the list 'cause I have one from her in my PC BB blocks.

Yes, Honchey, waiting is not easy. QuiltE, I wonder which 'frog' you used in your block! Some of you are very quick with your sewing machines, they really hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm along quickly to have many beautiful quilts to show us! And all those beautiful outfits, Anael, for the little ones, wow!!

Well, rain moves in tomorrow here, and then on Sunday, snow goes from here to Indiana, so heads up, GardenGal, lets see what each of us get.

MiraB .. oh what a nice and cheery stringy for the Nursing Home! Now pedal to the metal for those FlutterByes ... and knowing you, i'm sure you will have it ready for her birthday. What are the birthday plans? You to her? DD to you? and a sew-fest day planned? or a FART?

Anael ... cute outfits ... an astronaut and a princess!

CarrieM ... I have been gradually doing more and more of my own quilting since I got my 6600, and bigger projects each time. However, something this big, I will send out to my LAQ who did my FWS. Besides, I look at it, that after all the work I put into it, I want her exemplary quilting to finish it off and not my beginners efforts! Looking at the blocks on the design wall, it's definitely not going to be as showy as my FWS ... even with her quilting. I still keep thinking of JanRN's machine .... and dream! Now if I only had a SugarDaddy!

JanRN ... Happy 43rd to you and the Mr! I was waiting with your greetings for Saturday ... for some reason, my brain said 43rd on 23rd. Not to worry, I won't be endlessy shifting the blocks around. Didn't shuffle last night, but noticed a few that were bunched (too much yellow in spots, or too much solids, etc). I think they will switch easy enough, but I didn't feel like getting into it. Something to do when my brain is firing fully!! ............. So you are leaving us sitting on edge before telling us about the Quilting Expo and your great finds!!!!!!!!!!! geeeesh!!!!!!!!!!!

Honchey ... on the road again!!!! Good thing you aren't wasting any time to get to that toffee! And so many sewing To Do's before you head to NC to make your DH happy! The mailman better get there quickly, or he'll be gone and you won't have your MB! OMG ... you and all your postage stamps!!!!!!!!!!! Do you send them direct? or is there someone who then has to sort yours and others later .... Hopefully NOT as I think they would go nuts doing it!

QNSue ... The winning froggy hopped it's way into this thread ...

I liked the others, but felt that it was more the style of the other animals/birds I had in the quilt. Plus it was going to let me get the Aussie flag fabric into the quilt, along with my repeating yellow. Thanks again for your part in this! Please don't send too much snow this way!

Just a sec before final preps for bank appt. What darling outfits, Anael!! The SewGrands are the best dressed kids on the hospital block!
mirabelle, strippy quilt is so bright and sunny with the yellow sashing. Sure to brighten anyone's day! Bless your heart
Anniversary greetings Jan and QNS--many more happy days before you!
Honchey wish I could say my late night was to quilting. Alas number crunching instead. Enjoy your time in NC!
Off to the salt mine, but had to have a cuppa of tea and some great conversation this morning!

QuiltE, this is what they look like all bundled up..They will go into a large padded envelope and sent to the member hosting this swap. she in turn will swap them all out with the other persons sending theirs...we pay her for the return postage and then we wait for our squishie to come to us...I will get 20 bundles of 50 PS from others from all over the country and sometimes foreign countries...it's fun... after this swap I should have 2500 of them besides what I have cut for myself....when I just want to sew mindlessly I will pick them up and sew them into 4 patches and then join them.

We are leaving on the 1st of April...no fooling! we plan on being there for 5 weeks..
Ahem, we do have an extra bedroom and I have several machines....close to the beach, several quilt shops not too far...decent restaurants and I am a fantastic cook if I say so myself.... Oh, plus I will have 2 lbs of See's candy......the welcome mat is out!!!

I can't wait for my MB and my Candy...all 2 lbs of it for me...I will have to hide it from DH..Although he's not much of a candy person he will finish the box without any guilt!!!!

How nicely presented, Honchey! I hope everyone else does as nice a job as you do in packaging them up. Although I doubt there'll be any candy left for NC, if you're not leaving til April 1st ... no fooling!!

Ggal--you asked about the new clubhouse plans...they are mostly in my head, but have done some furniture placement on graph paper so I can get an idea of where I want the windows and doors. We can't do much until things dry out this spring. My dad offered to help so if we have all the materials here for the structure itself, could get the framing done in a weekend. We have some metal sheeting left from a pole building we put up a couple years ago that will work for siding/roofing. I know how to run wire/put in outlets and do sheet-rock (thanks to Dad teaching me) so once the outside is done my son and I can work on finishing the inside during the week. We won't finish the upstairs right away, but it will still be a good place for storage. I am thinking I want pull-down attic stairs instead of having the stairs take up room on the main floor all the time. When the weather gets nicer we will go to a Habitat for Humanities Re-sale Store and pick out the windows and doors. Once we have those we can figure out what is needed for lumber.

The neurologist gave me a new medicine to try...worst side effect is supposed to be sleepiness...I will take it at night and maybe sleep better.

Happy Anniversary QNS and Jan (and to your husbands of course)!

Honchey--you have been very busy cutting squares. What other swaps are you working on? Have a great time visiting and safe travels.

Jan--I haven't been doing any sewing for almost 2 weeks...so not sure I should be on the list of "productive quilters" right now. Next week I hope to finish the quilt I started at my retreat. My goal is to finish at least one quilt a month (UFOs)...I was able to do that in Jan and Feb. I know when I am feeling better I should be able to get more than one done especially come May when school is pretty much done...we'll see.

OK--hope your bank appt went well and that you can reward yourself with some time in the sewing room this weekend!
