Debating with self; couple of the hens are sitting, clucking to themselves...do I get some chicks to slip under them at night or not...that is the question or dress out hens and put them into the freezer.

Time to do housework...dishes are calling me and lunch time to fix lunch.

Have two out of three strips marked to do the corner triangles, so progress is being made on the Pansy Passions throw.

Dh is putting his music into his computer and getting his stereo going; he is so nice to share his loud noise, but I really would rather pass on it...wonder if there is any reason to go to town for the day???? I have gently closed his door a couple of times lately. An age old difference of opinions, that has lasted through the years...but I do not drive at night!!

Everytime I've logged on I get an interuption so it looks like I've been on all morning, when in actuality I'm just cruising by! Oh so much to catch up on. Love the pic of those cute kids, DD. What happy smiling faces they have.
Honchey--take care and rest now; then you will be ready to get back into the swing of things.
I got back from WI, and was greeted with a skeptical look from 3 yo and a runaway look from 20 month old, but by the time it was bedtime, mom and dad were out on a date night and I was able to put them down with no fuss. Needless to say the time went by way too fast. I paid a few bills; finished getting house cleaned and had a wonderful time with all. And I'm bushed
Tuesday was QBuddy day. L&W came here and L and I showed W how we bind our quilts. Then we experimented with EPP. This is really getting addictive! They each got 1 flower done, a second started, and are planning on making a table mat with 7 flowers. This is the size hexi we used; I'm planning a blue and yellow quilt with these.
This is the size I'm making for my scrap mini using random fabrics. Will be using 2 sheets of templates and then square it off. Just finding little bits of fabric here and there for it.

Here's the great block I received from DD. So lovely! Thank you
I'm wondering where Dublb's block is at.

I swept floors after midnight on Good Friday-- and then on Saturday night I did the same this is my pile of dirt from Saturday--24 hours worth. It was after noon on Monday when I swept up Sunday's dirt--had more dog hairs in it than previous pile (oh did I mention the dog came too? But we all love Cooper so that's okay--outdoor excursions were restricted because our dog Lucky did not love Cooper.)
So here's Monday's pile of dirt
Let's end this post with a major cause of all the dirt

Anael ... it's a Breyers product from Unilever. So there is a possibility!

QNSSue ... here's hoping the rock star has decided to tone down for you! Or you could plug your own tunes into your ears to overrid his?

OKSGlad and DDamsel ... Dutch Blues for sure! Lovely block ... and a great one for the rest of us to jump off and make our MBs for OKSGlad, when out time comes!

OKSGlad ... I'm sure you didn't mind the sweepings, knowing the great reasons for the dust. Perfect floor to camouflage!! When I was choosing flooring for the downstairs at the farm, a GF also farm wife, said the way you do it is to sweep your floor and put the sweeings onto the samples you are considering. Well, my #1 pick was quickly eliminated and my final choice was the BEST floor to hide it all, if it did not get swept! I had gone for a terra cotta speckled mixed commercial flooring ... and miss it so much! Great that you had a QBuddy day as a reward after the family departed!

What a Grand pic of your Grands!!! Delightful to get them ALL together!!!

DD...I can almost smell the sunshine and fresh air in your kids. What a beautiful family! And the block for OK...spot on.
dubib.....can we officially call Texas an international country? Who would have thought you would get MB after Mirabelle. I can't wait to see it.
OK....thought we would have to send out the possee. So happy to hear that your family had such a wonderful time at DGM and DGP. Looks like the grands enjoyed it too.
Honchey....take your time and recover completely. Ice cream in bed is okay.
QNS...free chicks and then chicken stew. I assume you have a rooster so setting will do some good.
Anael...wouldn't it be nice if you could hold a Grand tomorrow...if only for a moment?
Another quilt bound today. The third quilt ready for binding but I have to get some binding fabric. So sad, huh? A UFO in the design wall. My first with 6 inch blocks and they didn't come out real accurate. Frames in the blocks don't work too well because it is an Irish Chain setting so I'm fiddling with options. It will make a nice lap quilt. My DH doesn't understand that each bed can have more than one quilt and it's okay to have a few that are waiting for the right time to be someone else's love cover.

QNS--hope you were able to ignore the music and get something you wanted to done! I can't help with the chickens...we like fresh eggs and chicken in the freezer (well for a little while, then in our frying pan!)

DD--great MB for OK!

OK--your GKs look like they are having fun. This is what a picture of my kids with my sisters' will be like in a couple years (older and younger)...my kids are 11, 13, 15. My sisters' (I have 3) kids are 3, 2, 2, and 1...just a little gap. I got married right out of high school and had kids right away. My older sister didn't get married until after college and just had her daughter a couple years ago.

Dublb--bummer about no MB yet...I am sure it is on the way. Did you check the email that went out to everyone with addresses? Is yours right? I still sometimes type my old house number with my new street name!

Ggal--great progress on those bindings! Can't wait to see some pictures. Even if DH doesn't understand your need to keep making quilts...we do!!

Here are the blocks I made with my FFC for a table runner. I am going to border with white and see if we have more of the blue (at the LQS) for a 2nd border. If no more blue, then I will sash each block with white to make it a bit longer. I will have 2 extra blocks too for something fun to make at a later time...maybe a small bag w/one block on each side...hmmm? Might have to get some extra blue for that too! The blocks finish 10".

I had a great time visiting with my friend today. She woke with a sinus headache and wasn't feeling up to sewing, so watched me cut and sew strips together. I used a "tube" technique to make the blocks...there is a video here if you've never tried it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOWSp...layer_embedded

Self confused everyone; I would buy the young chicks, and stick them under the hen at night, so she would care for them. And cluck-cluck the chickens to her. No rooster at present.

Wonderful pictures of children and grandchildren....OK, your guest were careful or your dust tray would have to have been larger. We can track that much into our house in a day or two...'cause we live in our house and its a good thing I have that attitude with dh not taking his shoes off at the door...like in some of his relatives homes.

Carrie, I like your tube idea and I do have a plastic template for that. Have my FF paired off with fabric auditioning to be with it.

One more MB to go; where o where is it?? It is soooo good to see each one show up on the QB PC board.

No better said, than by the somewhat Newlywed, herself!!!

CarrieM ... great looking FFC results! Goes well with the denim blue and will make for a nice table runner. Good idea on the extras for a bag or could even make a smaller end table size topper.

DublB ... oh dear oh dear ... hopefully tomorrow's mail will bring the long lost MB!

QNSue ... we could all help you with that FFC auditioning!
