*giggles* butttttttttttttt Anael ... I never thought the mail would get it to MiraB so FAST! I promise, I will do those pics tonight and give you an early start on May!!!

MiraB ... I wasn't sure how the yellows would work together, and they do look like they are playing well off each other. IRL the dark blue of mine isn't quite so dark.

JanRN and Honchey ... after hearing both reports of Honchey's and MrJanRN's dentist visits, I count myself lucky for what I've gone thru in comparison.

JanRN ... the cat's away and you're supposed to be playing, not slaving!!! Look at it this way, that the work you are doing is for your sewing room ... That makes it seem more enjoyable and worthwhile, doesn;'t it? Bet you're enjoying it all the same ... no day job and DH away. Windows done now, and get yourself back into the quilting zone!

psssssssst Honchey ... birds could be pretty in my whites and pastels ... just saying!

Anael ... you already know I like that OTM block!

CarrieM ... your dog looks like he's saying, Good Grief, there they go again! We've had a fair amount of rain too. Puddles in some of the fields. Grass is actually starting to green up. I'm sitting high and dry, though some lower areas are having flooding issues. Quite the pictures you got ... and great reflections!

QNSue ... Thanks so much for dropping by, so we all have an update. *shudder* on the coarse ground pepper! A wee little dash is all I like. And I mean wee!!! Take today and be good to yourself ... a day of lazing about, as you get out of the fog. And please don't start fretting before you go next Wednesday. No sense wasting your energy on that ... and then deal with whatever you are told then ... including the necessity of following the Dr's orders, including the regular appointments. PLEASE!!!

JeanieG ... Monitoring is important to catch things early, should something happen. And a better chance of stopping it in its tracks!

brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
I'm freezing (in the temperature sense, not the dental-freezing sense) ... though I am uncomfortasble and thing I will go have a lay down before supper. TThe freezing came out pretty quickly though it always seems to leave me wiped out, and my eyes feel like they are not allowed to open the whole way. It'll pass!!!

Good Night!!! .......... well not quite .... would that be .... Good Late Afternoon?

Dr. Batra uses Doc Qlax pills (six of them over 12 hour period and Magnesium citrate as an oral solution (cherry flavor) which I drank with chipped ice, 16 fluid oz. twice, and it really was not too bad. All the Cherry Coke I wanted to drink, which helped too. This was my fifth time of doing it; four times with 2004 session in CC...every four years. I grew healthy polyps.

Probably because we are part of the Commonwealth ... and you are not!
(kidding!)
My other mail to MiraB wasn't quite so fast. It'll be interesting to see what happens when other USA MBs are sent!

2nd FART in 2 days ... so a hat trick tomorrow?
Can't wait to see your Kaffe fabrics ... do you have a plan? I've yet to do something with his fabrics or patterns ... really do like some of the results from his patterns. And to think I have one of his books, thanks to a special friend who cleaned their sewing room and shipped it to me.!!!!

*yawn*
I guess I had to get up ... before I go to bed tonight. Next thing will be I will be wide awake all night! argghhhh!

Hello all

we had snow storms for three days! it knocked the internet out because the snow was sooo heavy! 12 inches in the higher elevations :O WOW! its hard to believe its April.

I am in the middle of designing a wedding dress for my sister who is getting hitched in August, and my friend offered for me to come look at her mothers fabric and patterns, it was an EXPERIENCE!!! the woman had EVERYTHING packed into one little room we were able to find everything we could possibly need for the dress and a great pattern also
this is the same friend that has "C" she had it 20 yrs ago and also 2 yrs ago... she is leaving on friday to fly to a clinic in Mexico to do some more natural treatment to try and cure it, she is very hopeful

QNinaSue! Good luck with the tests

back to work I go! see you later ladies

Oh how exciting for you, DDamsel... and we all know what comes next after the wedding. YOUR FAVOURITE little bundles of joy! So wedding dress is planned .... and did you find some fabric in her stash to make a wedding quilt too? Prayers and best wishes for your friend. How kind of her to share her Mom's stash with you!

Anael what a beautiful block, we must have the same taste in fabric, I have the same green you have used..

Don't get too excited over my Sylvia blocks I only have 4 made, see I need the weekly deadline to keep me on track

QNS hoping you get good results when you see your doc.

JeanieG I agree that stuff they make you drink makes you feel so ill, I think that is worse than the procedure, at least you are asleep for that

Carriem I love your water photos, reminds me of the creeks around here. That happens at least twice every wet season.

COLD did anyone say cold, I still have the aircon on during the day

Yesterday I quilted all day and I have finished 10 of the blocks with 10 to go so I am going to get off this computer and put the foot down on the pedal and hopefully I can get a lot done today. And I have 2 sides of the binding sewn down so tonight after I get home from DS's (he is cooking roast lamb) I will put a movie on and hopefully get the rest sewn.

MiraB ... you're just moving right along with your Daisy quilt! Creating all that heat working so hard ... no wonder you need the a/c on!

Qns, Sorry I neglected to wish you well....

I know what a "fart" is but I couldn't explain to DH what the letters actually mean..I forgot...

The first photo is of my red & white fat 1/4's...the red is really saturated and has swirls that remind me of roses..

The second is of the 6 scraps that were rolled up..4 of them are full 1/3 yards the white background one is only a 1/4 yard..the batik is a full 1/2 yd...all of this for 2.75 for all 6..they sell rolled up scraps for .60 cents each or 6/2.75. a real bargain

The last photo has the colorful 1/3 yd pieces... 4 Kaffe Fasset on bottom left... 4 top left from Free Spirit....the rest 13 fanned out are Painted Summer for In The Beginning...They are so colorful !!!

I didn't win in Bingo tonite....Maybe next week....
The weather has been beautiful for the last week..today the temp was 82 degrees...I can't believe I've been here a week already...time really does fly...

Love, love, love your fabric Honchey! So many pretty pieces! What are you going to do with those with the larger flowers on them? That purple/pink group is especially beautiful!
