Laurie--dry needling is done by a MD. My insurance does cover it, but won't cover acupuncture...worth checking with your doctor to see if there is someone in the area who does it....they can send codes to your ins. to see if it would be covered or not.

CarrieM ... it really wasn't a cheater fabric, I just reated it that way. There is some nice cheater stuff around! I actually have a Halloween one that might surface one of these times and use it to play and practice. How disappointing for your Fair. I'm sure they wanted the quilts out of the way, just in case things got worse ... too valuable to keep them for the risk it'd be. So ... what did you enter? I'm sure after Alberta's disaster, many communities are being overly cautious.

MercysLand .. thank you! I really wasn't too creative as my add-in blocks were patterns I found online or from friends. So please do tell use what the new ideas are!!! Are you working on a quilting project for yourself right now?

I'm back spent the day at my LQS quilting Smith Mountain Morning and now I am really really tired, left home at 7am this morning, got to the shop at 9am, the traffic was murder, left at 3pm and got home at 4.30 and all the way home I had a Police car in front of me and one behind me so I couldn't speed and get home sooner

Carriem what a beautiful set of blocks, hope you are safe from the floods, being without power brings back memories of Cyclone Yasi when we were without power for 10 days, the power pole outside our house was destroyed. DH bought a huge super duper generator after that and we have it wired into the house..no more power outages for us.

QuiltE I was thinking of working like a possessed woman until I see the Doc on the 9th just in case he tells me bad news and I can't quilt anymore. If I rub Deep Heat into my shoulder it does give me some relief.. If I work like a woman possessed does that mean I am already a candidate for the funny farm?? Love your table topper, the quilting is great, love the fabric, just perfect

Honchey I am so happy you liked the block, I did have a few moments where I was going to make a pieced block but this kept telling me to just go with it.

JanRN hope you stay safe with the storms around you

I am off to bed, busy day tomorrow, have to drive DS to Doctors appointment, then take him grocery shopping, them come home and sew sew sew sew sew

Mercysland, we live in a small community and have a wonderful chiro (Dr. Hammett) who does the 'adjustments" & acupuncture for $39 a treatment (each treatment is an hour long) and is good...people come for hundreds of miles to see him. His wife does the acupuncture and was trained for it, she also serves as his gal 'Friday' doing the office work, bookkeeping (excellent job), nurse, etc., anything else the he desires her to do. She sings professionally after hours, doing 'jigs' around the area. I do not agree with the diet supplements that he recommends to dh, nor the purchase of them, but dh is determined to do so and he is much better, so what can I say???

Hope I get to set up and embroidery couple of blocks for show before the end of the day...time will tell. Everyone have a good day....I am going to the virtual RV and 'pet' a few MBs for fun.

MiraB ... nothing like getting a police escort! ....Guess they know all about you1!!! I loved that fabric the moment I saw it ... and just might be making a window blind with what I have left. When I saw it finished up, I like it even more ... funny how the simplest things can catch our eyes. The colours and the details are what did me in from the beginning. I totally understand your method in your madness (and would probably do the same!) ... I just hope you don't do further damage and take it beyond repair. Look forward to seeing your Mountain finished ... hhmmmm that must be a Get Well quilt for your DS. No group sewing this week? And good luck to your DS for his check up!

Hi DD, big congrats on the new little one on its way. I love babies. My youngest grand is 1.5 years, a little bit of an after thought so he is my last little cuddler. I'm excited for you.

I just love that sheep fabric. Is it from Suebee? It is adorable and the colours are so cheery.

I am supposed to be out in the garden dead heading, but felt the need for a QB fix so I came in for a break.

Love those sheep, DD!!

D_D--cute baby blanket. We (the shop where I work) have a panel with those sheep and a flannel that is from the same line with sheep all over it. Your pink flowers on the back look so fun!

Janie--I just just got done with dishes and have to get laundry started next. No work outside for me today. Hope you can get yours all caught up so you can get to the sewing room.

QNS--how is your "setting up" going?
