Ggal hugs to you my friend, a tough time but you are stronger and will handle it with grace.

QuiltE a beautiful table topper, just perfect

Carriem your quilt top is looking great, keep going girl almost at the finish line...

I finished sewing the rows of my jelly roll quilt just have to add borders, it is hanging in the cupboard while I work on my Raggedy Ann quilt top, it has to finished by the time I go to retreat. Will post pics soon.

Thanks for the advice about my shoulder, I have decided not to quilt any more large quilts but to break them down into smaller sections, a bit like QAYG but my way, a bit more hand sewing but worth the effort.

I plan on taking my scrap quilts to work on at retreat, I have 47 x 4 inch stars made and need approximately 150 more, I have about 60 all cut, and if I get them done I can work on my Wild and Goosey which is a pp's 3 inch block using tiny bits of fabric. I would also like to get my first Spike made. There is probably a couple more projects in boxes that I may take cause a girl can't take too much. Plan on sewing till midnight every night so that makes 2 days of about 16 house and a half day. wish me luck

I got a new Shark vacuum cleaner. It's the Navigator Lift Away Pro. It's real nice & I can use it, but not for very long. Well I can do it for about 20 min.s at a time. (I couldn't use the old one for more than about 5 min.s. The bendin' is what gits me the most.) I did the long hall, the entrance hall & all o' the bathrooms taday. I did it in 3 different segments o' time. I'll do a bit more each day.
I got DSon's friends ta help me go & git some big things, like my bougainvillaea, my 2 large decorative rocks, & 2 bin's o' jeans. I think I have 2 more bins o' jeans still at the old house & I already had 1 bin here already. I have the ability ta make several denim quilts & several denim rugs.

Thanks for kind words. I love this group if friends! Carrie, your quilt is stunning. I've never seen a setting like that. Is nice DD can contribute too.
Mirabelle....what a nice way to have some "mindless" sewing and literally built a couple of quilts out of scraps. I'm glad you're being creative in your quilting so you don't damage your shoulder more.
QuiltE...Bon voyage! Have a fun time and bring back pictures.
Bev..I have a Shark vaccum too and just love it. Soon you'll have the old house clean and ready to list. I hope it sells fast.
Today I will sandwich two more border strips and quilt as many of them as I can. I'm running short of backing fabric so will have to get creative and do some piecing with leftovers as I need it. Nice and cool today and I should be in the garden......

Here's my hugs for you, Ggal--we're here for you!

Well, friends, the best laid plans........ I have 3 weeks off work and vowed to get my Rosie quilt finished. Got it all ready to go, practiced drawing designs on a white board, got my practice sandwich in position, stepped on the foot peddle and...Nothing!!! Yep, no communication between foot peddle and motor. After spending 2 days on the phone with HQ tech (who was awesome, BTW) decided it's best to take the S16 to the dealer and get it checked, sounds like an electronic problem. Will pack it up over the week-end and take it to dealer who, thankfully, is only 1/2 hour away and has an awesome LQS. They were so nice and helpful to an hysterical quilter!! Thought I killed it somehow; maybe it was all the nasty names I've called it. So Rosie will sit & stare at me some more. She's becoming the Quilt That Won't Go Away.

Hope yinz are having a better week than I am LOL.

OMG Anael, that is a precious photo. You should enlarge and frame that one!

Oh Jan, so sorry about your HQ! Darn, you were finally ready to get that quilt done, and now problems.

I have been on a roll. I finished the bonus block quilt (will photo today), and am almost done with another quilt I just needed to finish quilting. I tried to quilt these flowers in some white areas, and tore them out at least twice because they had those eyelash things on the back. I took it out and tried again with my newest sewing machine. Same thing - so I fiddled with the tension, and low and behold it started sewing perfectly. This is the first time I had tried the variegated thread, and it was thicker than normal. Maybe that had something to do with the tension needing to be changed. Whatever the problem, I am quilting the border then can bind! Yippee!!! I am loving looking at empty bins that held these projects that just needed quilting.

Better to have "Rosie" not go away than to her in the box never to be opened

Oh what a precious pic of the SewGrands. Mic looks like he has blonde eyebrows and eyelashes and baby blues like my GS. GD just has the blonde hair.

Oh Jan you'll git 'r done sooner or later.

Jeanie so anxious to see your #2 quilt fun and done. Sometimes I think variegated thread is variegated in weight as well as color. I too have more problems with it than straight color threads.

GGal--hmm look Two. Two. Two quilts in one with your creative backings! Can't wait to see.

Had to make a road trip today and yes a LQS stop on the way home--picked up a bit of JoMorton fabric and some FQ's on sale. Now to plant a few perennials I also got on sale. Our cooler and wetter weather is perfect for getting them started. Usually too hot and dry this time of year to even think about it. Might start some lettuce again. Kale needs to be picked as well. Still no fresh tomatoes--grr.

My diet is fresh tomato and bacon sandwiches, morning, noon and night...all I can eat and enjoy!! Love it. Lots of tomatoes(free), OK, and we are only two hours from Des Monies down highway 63. Have a Singer sewing machine and a Elna in cabinet real cheap, too.

Bf came down this afternoon and brightened up my day 'cause we went to the LQS and Western meats.

Anael, what a wonderful picture of the SEW GRANDs... yes that needs to be put an album. or framed and hung on the wall.
