I think I am like the Everyready bunny....I just keep going! Ilean on a cane and hop along slowly, but I go. Off this morning to assist driving with dh going to the dentist to have stitches taken out. Back early morning to work in quilt room, I hope.

Can I have your opinion please? When you purchase an E-book and it says you're not allowed to print the pages, what use is it to purchase it? It's a quilt book so without the possibility to print it's useless IMHO. What do you think? Would you go ahead and print it anyway?

Well, I posted a reply and it disappeared so if I have 2 comments sorry. We seem to be having internet problems this morning; happens when all the college kids are back in town even tho we have a "secure" network.

Anael, I copy any e-book I want especially if I purchased it. I'll probably go to jail (or straight to hell) for violating some rule or another but I agree: what good would a quilting book be if you can't download it? Go for it--we can share a jail cell.

Question: have any of you purchased new rotary cutter blades lately? I haven't but when on a FART yesterday planned on purchasing a pack. They cost over $7.00 per blade!!! That's ludicrous!!! A month or so ago they were $5 per blade and I thought that was high. Tried to get them at Joanne's with a coupon and there weren't any--saleslady said when the coupons come out that's the first thing everyone grabs; prices were the same at LQS. Anyone know a mail-order site that may be cheaper? i don't change my blade often enough as it is but now I'll change it even less often. Sorry, not whining, just angry!

JanRN, at Wal Mart yesterday I paid $9.97 for two blades and $3.97 for one rotary blade and $8.97 for the rotary and blade together. I have ordered from Quilt in a Day but not lately.

Finally figured out my computer/printer combo in printing from Quilterscache...she has the one or two inch square for testing and I play with the page settings until I get the scale right...mmmm...that is something new with this outfit I have not had to do until recently....no downloads from Microsoft installed lately, so it cannot be that.

Put my Pork Roast into the oven at 375 degrees with brown sugar and Dutch apple filling over it....since its a small rolled roast, it should be done by lunch time. DH was kind enough to wash up from the canning yesterday, so the kitchen is clean. Back to the quilting room.

Hi Everyone, I been busy doing "stuff"..nothing related to sewing unfortunately...I have been reading and just wanted to mention that Joanns hasn't had the 5 pack of the Olfa blades in a long while...Alot of times that happens when they want to change the packaging or have a problem with the supplies coming in...I have been trying to get a 5 pack of blades since last June with no luck...

QNS, why do you throw out the apple filling from the pork roast??? too greasy??

I've been wrapping my fabric using the "foam boards" from Dollar Tree using my rotary cutter to cut it up and find that it either sharpens or "cleans" the blade and when I use it to cut fabric it works fine..at least for a couple of days anyway..I have saved some of the foam scraps to run the blade thru ...
Anael...I have spoken to several authors about copyright...If you have bought/purchased written word that is copyright...You can copy that print for your own personal use...not to be given or sold or traded...that's what I was told...

Roast Pork baked in the oven with apple pie filling (apples like you would use in a pie, Anael) with brown sugar over the pork, flavors the meat very well, but the water and oil from the pork does not make the apples editable to me, each to his own...apple sauce or fried apples could be served with it. I was Southern Iowa born, and love, love, love my pork just about any way that it is prepared. We butchered four hogs and two cows every year when I was growing up...the house was not 'modern', but Grandma canned some 300 quarts of tomatoes and same amount of green beans every year, some of the beef, pork and chicken as well. I wonder now how she every managed to do that every year.

Anael, for your own use, I would go ahead and print the pattern book out that was a download. I keep the download and print out the pattern as well. then if I lose my hard copy, I can go back and print it again.

Its Fall, and that is the time of year I love apple spice cake with black walnuts...cream frosting on the top, topped off with vanilla ice cream and Carmel syrup topping.
