Bf says she gets 'motion sickness' after surgery when she gets moved too soon and it brings on the unsettled stomach, and you did the right thing, GrannyQ, by staying in the hospital overnight. Our prayers are with you in your recovery and good news you are going to hear.

Thinking of you GrannyQ, hoping for a speedy recovery and good news from the medicos.

Anael I had another thought whilst driving today, (do my best thinking in the car) you can use 2 layers of water soluble stabiliser for your redwork embroideries. That will give you a lovely finish. I would just press and starch your fabric really well so it doesn't shift and pucker. I hope this has helped.

I have just arrived home, had a lovely lunch and wonderful conversation. I now have DD's car for the next few weeks and she has mine She had a little accident at the shopping centre and all one side of her car was scratched, thank goodness for insurance, $4500 to have it fixed. So I have lent her my car and hers will be fixed here where I live. If I need a car desperately I can always borrow DS's or DH's truck. Great excuse not to go anywhere and get some more sewing done and I get to drive her car back to her and check out the boyfriend a bit more win win

I got home today from Phoenix. Nice week visiting the son, DDIL, and grandkids. Haven't been online much, so lots of chatter to catch up on. I can get colors to work on my hubby's PC, but it sure does not work on this one, my return key does not give me another line either.....UGH. Windows 8 is the pits!!!! So confusing. Granny Q, I'm praying for you and hope you feel better real soon.

Finally got pp MB fabric cut out and I like it; now to get the latest pattern set together and mail on Tuesday. If anyone asks, "Tis in the mail!"

The new arrangement in sewing room is almost working very well. When I get it cleared again, will take pictures.

So Killer Kitty gets a stocking for Christmas--hmmm will he get a lump of coal or some sticks? He's got 3 months to be a good kitty.

So added another 100 9P's to the jar! Hoping to do at least 50-100 a week until I run out of 1" strips.

I'm on a UFO mission. Got the binding on a little Christmas quilt--no picture yet. Today spray basted a 55 x 55 quilt for my DSis and hope to have it finished when I go visit her this fall. Tonight going to go see what else I can cross off the UFO list.

Meanwhile look what I received in the mail. EQ calls it Rhode Island. Isn't it lovely? And so beautifully sewn like all the rest of them. Thanks Carrie!

It is beautiful, OksewGlad. Good job, Carrie. I don't know if I could maintain your pace, Oksewglad...and do 50 to 100 little 9P a week! It has taken me over two weeks to do an MB to sent out this month....started over three or four times with different blocks. I will take a picture to send to the 'judge', then put it into envelope to mail Tuesday.

Just took a picture of the Christmas wall hanging I finished last week. Blocks are 3 3/4". I used 1 1/4" strips to make the 25P blocks.
