Any removing has to be done by a moderator...

Maybe a refresher course in navigation is required???...I know it's not funny....

Mirabelle, do you think having the rotary instructions included with the new month's posting would be helpful ?.. there are those that will have them done and those needing more help...this is supposed to be a monthly posting...
or how about me adding the rotary instructions to the end of the new month when I add the second block photo ?
You, of course will be given credit...I don't want to rain on your parade...but if this becomes anymore confusing...we may have to go to a single thread with you adding the instructions...What to do???

I have the feeling some find it easier to ask than to look for themselves. I hope I don't step on any toes here, I don't mean to! I've seen it a lot, asking without looking or asking and the answer has already been posted.

When pictures are posted in the instructions thread maybe we can ask politely to post in the picture thread as well?

QNS, I hope they find out what's wrong with your knee. No fun to be in pain all the time, I know all about that

No new pics of the twins, I didn't get a change to make pics. They were either eating or sleeping My DDIL told me she didn't take nice pics for a while now, guess she's too busy feeding them. At least that's what she told me, she's running around with bottles all day. Isa 4 times, Bram 6 times, fruit or veggies in the afternoon, Mick wants to eat too.......LOL so no time for anything else.

What about a separate thread with only the cutting instructions of all blocks? Mirabelle adding instructions every month?

Anael, or maybe just a gentle reminder that they're in the wrong thread???

Raising twins can be a handful!!!

Anael ... of course we would all delight in your taking pictures of the SewGrands eating and sleeping!!! I bet your DDIL is BUSY with them ... and that will probably get BUSIER too!

About the Spikes ... good news!
No ... it's not that I have sewn any since my Topper.

As some (all?) of you know, I have been wanting to do the quilt in the same yellow as that Topper, though fearful that I have enough fabric. The other day, I sent an email to the QOTS people asking about the background fabric requirements. They responded with this info ...

Yellow background (corner triangles) - about 3 yards
White background (the hexie background) - about 2 yards
1/2 yard cuts of 6 - 10 different fabrics for the piecing

So being that my yellow would be their white ... and that I have 2 metres plus off cuts, I should be good to go for the background of the Spikes, when I get to them. And with them saying 3 yards for the corner triangles ... looks like there is something else going to happen when we get to the joining stage.

Yes, I am doing a happy dance!!!!!!
(and can stop my whining ... til I have to figure out the corner triangle fabric)

As for the Spike posting problems .... I haven't been following as you know and will catch up when I get ready to start stitching. Seeing your comments ... is it any different than the chattering we used to do in the different FWS/PC threads? Where we would get talking about a previous week's blocks in a later thread? ... or that we would talk in the instruction thread when it should have been in the photo thread? We just lived with it ... not much you can do, without the potential of ruffling feathers.

We all know that people ask questions without reading all of a thread. That's nothing special to just BOMs. One thought to avoid posts in MiraBs instructions might be to ask PatriceJ to lock the thread. The final comment in MiraBs post could include the general direction to the appropriate thread and reminder to post in the right place.

Another thought .. has the confusion happened because of the two per month, with only one being bposted earlier in the month, then half way thru for the 2nd block??

Perhaps I really should not be commenting ... I am reading/hearing your frustrations, and thought maybe some outside perspective might be helpful!

OKSGlad ... oh thanks for sending that rain to us ..NOT!!!! My rain gauge overfloweth last night which means over 2". Some off and on today again, not much. Then it's supposed to be sunny and bright for the rest of the week. That would make for a nice Thanksgiving weekend here!

Maybe you need to get a bigger rain gauge! It's sunny and not so warm here today. Box elder bugs and Asian lady beetles are not deterred by the rain! Hope they all fly away soon. Now to lawn mowing. Grass too wet this morning.

Yes definitely a new larger gauge for next year ... this one is about dead, with the plastic very brittle.

You've got to get those GrandKids trained on the mower!

It is becoming frustrating when participants on SYE don't look for the cutting instructions, they are there and easy to find, even after I have posted a link someone else will come along and ask for them again.

I know we chatted a lot with PC and FWS on both picture and discussion threads but we stayed within the guidelines of posting what and where. Honchey maybe when you start a new thread for November we can post the cutting instructions at the start of the thread, I can e-mail you the cutting info and you can just add it to the first page, maybe that will stop some of the confusion. That should be blocks 5 and 6.

NinaSue I will continue to e-mail the info to you.

What does everyone think.

By the way, Block 7 is now available at Quilting on the Square, guess what I will be doing today

Oh, I see the 'specialist' for about three or four minutes, who showed me the X-Ray and said, 'arthritis' bone on bone with the right knee, refused to listen about muscles and ligaments. And fitted me with a support for the knee...if insurance does not pay for it, I may have too. Do I feel satisfied, the reply would be a loud "NO" but no one was listening. The PT who fitted me listened better than the doctor and explained things out a little more. There are 'steps' to go through before they will talk about knee replacement. I am not in favor of any 'shots' to the knee. or pills to take for Arthritis...so many are so dangerous.

Our refrigerator, Maytag, new in 2005, has stopped working in the freezer part, and not as cold in the refrigerator part. So I am cooking the frozen berries and making jell as a priority tomorrow morning...with dh as the 'learning' co-pilot. So much for wanting to finish SYE three...it is coming along slowly and correctly, with a lot of 'ripping'....the ripper and I are on first name basis...remains my best friend...who is consonantly being used 'to do things right'.

Life is never boring here. Always something in the road way that pops up unexpectedly.

NinaSue can you get a second opinion, bone on bone is no fun as DH went through that before his hip replacement. I agree with some medication for arthritis playing havoc with your stomach.

Make sure your co-pilot does all the walking and you can sit and direct, berry jelly sounds yummy
