Hey Ya'll I'm back from Brady. I just sat here & read everything ta git caught up. I can't reply ta everything but I do want ta let Anael know that I'm prayin' for Bram.
I had a great time in Brady. When we got there we realized right away that the place needed ta be mowed. Some o' the clump grass was almost 2 1/2 ft. tall. At least clump grass is thin & wispy. Actually the 2 lots were didn't have very much clump grass in the middlle so it was only about 6 inches tall there & had some flowers bloomin' so Dh only mowed the edges o' the lots but he did mow the lawn around the house. He hurt his foot a couple o' weeks ago & had ta mow very carefully.
Aren't DGK's wonderful? There is just somethin' wonderful about havin' 'em there.
It started rainin' on Sat night about midnight & rained most o' the trip so we mostly just watched movies & played a few games. Our TV isn't hooked up ta cable nor does it have an antenna so all we can do is watch movies on it. I kinda like that.
I heard that we got rain here in Midland too. The Official amount is 1/2 an inch but my Aunt said that she got 2 inches. My hope is that it rained on the flood planes for the lakes. The last time it rained The lakes stayed static. We used as much water as the lakes received from the rains. I'm hopin' that they rise this time.

Ggal...everyone must be busy getting ready for cooler weather (well except Mirabelle). Fall has officially arrived here. Lots of farmers in the fields, it rained last night/this morning though, so not sure how much they'll get done.

DD is not happy about doing school today so we are taking a little break. DS got his done at least.

Not sure if I told the group, but I see the surgeon again Thursday to "see what my options are" since PT isn't helping...I sometimes think they just like having office visits since I thought my appt 3 weeks ago was to talk about options. Maybe he will actually do an MRI this time...that is what I am going to push for. At least then I *know* if I have to have surgery or if it is just inflammation and should get better...not knowing for sure is hard since I need to make plans for the next few months.

Latest update on Bram: according to the doctors it might be learned behavior in order to get attention! He found out if he pukes he will get attention so he pukes. Same with not emptying his bottle. So they will try to 'unlearn' this behavior. Tomorrow my DS and DDIL will have a talk with the pediatrician.

GG, I'm sorry I wasn't around much. I was very worried about Bram, haven't been home much as I have to get ready for my appointment in hospital on Thursday. If things go wrong I have to stay a week in hospital so I have to tidy the place a bit, run errands, making sure KK has enough to eat.....I won't be around much in the next few days either. Even when I will go home after the procedure I will be totally out from all the drugs so I will surface again on Saturday I guess

I have a pillow for under my knee but that doesn't seem to help either...I do use the TENS unit alot...I got mine from the chiropractor..now they sell them online on Ebay very reasonable...that helps alot...it short circuts the pain...helps with swelling also..I have to get more pads.....Have to leave now for an appt...later..H.

I have ta tell ya'll a story that happened on Thurs evenin'. I went ta the garage ta throw my drink can in the recycle bin. As I came back I stepped on the threshold & it fit just perfect on the arch o' my foot. It felt sooooo good. All o' the pain in my back just melted away for a few min.s. So I just stood there with my arms hangin down & rocked back & forth, kinda messaging my arches. I looked down & my long gray hair fell down in front o' me. #2DS was shavin' in the bathroom. (He does that about every 3 days if he needs it or not. LOL) Anyway he had the bathroom door open as he did this. When he was through he looked right down the hall ta the garage. He said "OMGosh Mama! Ya look like ya came right outta a horror movie!"

dublb-just in time for Halloween too.--wickedly
Well sounds like Bram is a smart little one! Now the hard part for Mom and Dad--trying to ignore a vomiting child.
Hope your surgery goes well Anael.
And Carrie I think they will "have" to do an MRI before surgery. You are too young for all of this.
GGal it must be the time of year. The days are shorter and I can feel my self diagnosed SADD starting to kick in. The nice fall days are great but the dreary ones like today after a half inch of rain are harder.
Honchey and here I thought you were going to dig in your own scrap pile! Don't worry I do the same thing; but am getting picky about which scraps I take
9P count up to 530. Switched gears and am now sewing on some 2 1/2" squares to make a scrappy 8" checkerboard block--there's a EQ planned for them.
Busy week--Quilt guild last night; QB quilt day tomorrow; church dinner to make 2 pies for and then make gravy for the meal. Always something!

Honchey, I have a 'brace' that protects the knee, and has a hinge in the back that bends with the knee.with a hard piece on each side and is adjustable around. Knee high jeans are fine with it or shorts but long legged jeans seem to 'catch' on the brace and hampers movement...and its getting too cold for shorts!Brrrrr.

Thanks, Anael, for the update on Bram. Good luck to you; hope to hear from you Saturday.

Dh just brought the rural mail in from our box on the highway, and it contained a small package from Australia....Mirabelle, the block is beautiful. Will try to take pictures later after I warm up our 'deep' freeze air in our house!! And I gotta find time to make my October MB before the first!!

forgot to tell that the block is from Carol Doak's 40 bright and bold blocks. Thank you, Mirabelle.

Love your story Dublb, just right for this month and Halloween.
