Well we passed the 7000 mark

JeanieG what a beautiful kitchen, I bet you don't want to use it now and get it dirty

GGal another beautiful MB, we are starting to get a glimpse of what our quilts will look like with more blocks being delivered. Also a beautiful quilt for someone special.

AND important news drumroll please. I received a MB in the mail today, thank you so much DDamsel it is beautiful and as soon as I can find my camera I will take a pic. I think DH has hidden it on me I have pressed it and it is hanging with its friends and it is perfect

WOW, im glad you like the block Mirabelle! I get quilters anxiety and just dont know if I can send out my humble work to such accomplished ladies like yourself. I feel bad looking at the picture... nobody else used green! oh, well Im glad you like it.

Gladie! I received a MB from Dear Gladie yesterday, goodness that lady keeps busier than I do! I will post a pic today.

ALL, I really appreciate how lucky I am to have the association of my QuiltingSisters, you are each dear to me and the mystery blocks was the best idea ever!

MiraB and DDamsel ... oooolalala! That's an Amazing Star ... you didn't tell us about your designer talents, DDamsel! So what shall we name this new star? I bet you have all sorts of innovative ways to put these blocks together, MiraB.

DDamsel ... yeppir, it is true, a redhead am I, though now a greying one! And to add to my McSis ability, I was a McK before marriage! Thanks for directing us to the "real" you in the photo!

JeanieG ... your kitchen is amazing and I am SO envious! I bet you are so happy with it and love being in it. I really like the size of that countertop with the sit up area. It'll be so multi-functional. What part about your new place do you like the BEST?

GGal ... I couldn't help but laugh at your brother's comment about your arrival. Hopefully you made sure that all the brothers did their part at washing dishes! What a great guy quilt for your DGSF. The colours are perfect. Hope you like your pineapple addition.

Got an unexpected day off today--no electricity in the whole town. We had a horrible storm last night--rained so hard I thought my windows would break and 60-70 mph winds. Scarey. We have power in my town so I went to work, walked in and black as night in the office. Doc said use your cell phones, cancel who you can reach, then hang a sign in the window and enjoy the rest of the day. No computers, no office phones=day off. I like it.

I've spent all morning getting caught up on all the posts since last week. We're over 7000--who would have thought that? What good friends you've all become and I love checking in with all of you. So many things going on: the MBs are beautiful! We are all going to have such outstanding quilts!! You are all awesome. Beautiful kitchen, lovely quilts, exciting trips (not counting Anne's "trip around the dining room"), getting together with friends and family, sharing good and bad news. I feel like I'm coming home when I'm here.

I'm going to the Bat Cave and work on a Christmas table topper for my BFF. She's the one who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer almost 2 years ago--she's amazing. She's still fighting and doing pretty well. Last Thanksgiving they gave her 1-3 weeks to live. I guess she's proved them wrong!!! Keep the prayers and positive vibes coming for her, please--something's working for her!

I agree with Jan---great MBs and also a great kitchen.

Not much going on here...finished getting the borders on a quilt. Need to piece the backing and then sandwich...this one will be tied. Never done that before...what kind of needle do you recommend? (This is for the crazy quilt I've had for several months.)

JanRN ... such wonderful news that you got a bonus day! We had much the same weather last night with the high winds. Quite the frightful night. Lots of rain earlier, so kind of ruined Halloween for the kiddies, I'm sure! And even better news as to how your friend has done this year ... bonus days, every one of them.

CarrieM ... good for you and all your progress!

Any more MBs? I think we are still missing some, aren't we?

So Ladies ... how are we going to celebrate our 1st Anniversary on the 21st?

I've been reading but not responding to all you've written. I'm sending good thoughts to all who need it, hoping all is ok with QNS. I forgot when she has her surgery, beginning of November that's all I remember.

I had an appointment with the doctors today. My surgery will be within 3 weeks from now - at least that's the plan.

I didn't think of our 1st anniversary, I might be in hospital that day so you all go ahead without me First post in this thread was November 20st......
