It's so nice to pop on here and see that QNS anf Anael are coming along. Hope your situation gets resolved soon, Anael.

I was hoping I would get my MB this week, but it's still not here so now I will get 2 in November! Big Grin.

I am off to watch the twins skate and then I plan to spend the afternoon in my sewing room. We are expecting a horrible storm today and tomorrow so I went to Fabricland yesterday and bought a ton of warm and natural at half price so I can sandwich several flimsies. I will have lots to do in January when I get home from the south.

Have a good one everybody.

For the past few weeks I have been up to my eyeballs trying to get these quilts finished for Ronald McDonald House, and today I finished hand sewing the final binding on. Hope you enjoy the eye candy.

All fabrics came from my stash and I can't see any reduction

Those quilts will be such a comfort to those families in the Ronald McDonald House! What a wonderful and generous person you are to make all of these for that charity!

JanieW ... that your MB has not arrived . Good for you for stockpiling for January. Did the twins put on a good skating show for you today? Hockey players in the making? I am sure that your DS+DDIL are so thankful that you can be there to help them so much. When do you head south? and when do you hope to be back? My thoughts and prayers for your DDIL. Take care!

Anyone else missing their MB still?

Honchey ... I was thinking tonight that perhaps we should mail the December MBs early, knowing that Christmas always slows the mail down. Thoughts?

MiraB ... A superstar you are! So generous with your donations. So 5 sets, meaning one thru your group? and the others direct to the coordinating group? Because each set is so unique, I don;t think I could pick a favourite as I like each for different reasons.

Time to turn the clocks back ... I did them at supper time, so I really feel like I have gained a real bonus in time! Win-Win!!! Hope everyone takes benefit of that extra hour!

I just e-mail Anael my November MB for approval I hope it gets the nod as I want to post it next week.. I agree with posting the December blocks a little early if possible as the mail does get slower for Christmas. But I will go with what everyone else wants as I know not everyone has their blocks made.

Mirabelle, I, too, have my November MB approved by Anael. Unlike others, that is as far as I have made....and I think you are right QuiltE and Mirabelle with the Christmas mail rush. I usually get a couple of Christmas cards day or two after Thanksgiving. Christmas decor is out at most stores now. We have continued our agreement with family and each other since 1972; no commercial gifts: all homemade, from the heart with love. It might be as simple as a love letter from DH.

I enjoyed that extra hour today with rest and healing time. You all have a good day today.

NinaSue it is so nice to hear you are up and around and seeing a lot better.. but that doesn't mean you can overdo it. So continue to rest and let others look after you.

And I just heard from Anael and I have the thumbsup to post my November block, so I will be setting it free on Tuesday. I wonder where it is going ??????????????

QuiltE I should have answered you, I have decided that all 5 sets are going to be delivered on Wednesday. There is too much nonsense going on at the moment with my patchwork group that I have decided to distance myself until things settle down. It only takes one person (who is new to the group) to make things uncomfortable. She is the mother of our new longarm friend/member and they have been coming to our group for 4 weeks now and the mother seems to think she can run things and is bossing everyone around. She was trying to tell me how to make an Ohio Star last week and when I asked her how long she had been patchworking she told me 3 years, when I told her I had been doing this for 26 years she literally called me a liar in a roundabout way, she is definitely not on my Christmas list The older I get the less I like confrontation.

Awesome work (and generous heart) as usual, Mirab. I envy your productivity and talent. How could anyone question your ability? There's always one in every group who knows more than everyone else. Striking her off your Christmas list is much more lady-like and civilized than what I would want to strike!!

Thought this was the week that I could go back to working one day per week. Have to go in tomorrow to clean up the mess from being closed on Friday due to the power outage. All the patients that were scheduled on Friday will have to be squeezed in somewhere plus the usual Monday add-ons; would be too much for the new girl to handle. (I haven't heard that she's been arrested or anything so I hope she shows up LOL.) Also have to work Thursday for high school physicals and Friday my usual day. Don't they realize I only have 2 uniforms and I'm NOT buying anymore???

Hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour of sleep. Now it's going to be dark before 5pm. Will keep lots of lights on and hope seasonal depression does not come back as bad as last year.

I also think it's a good idea to mail December MBs early to avoid the Christmas rush. I'll follow yinz's lead.

Have a great Sunday everyone--sun is shining but it's only 35*. Good day for a pot roast in the oven.
