Mirabelle - that quilt is so pretty, I would not want to give it up either! LOL

Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow for my American friends. I got my rolls made today, turkey cooked and carved, and cranberry salad made. I feel like I've been on my feet all day!

I have a cell phone I hardly ever turn on! My hubby always has his on, so everyone knows to call him. I use mine only if I am going somewhere without him (and that isn't very often)!

MiraB ... there's roses there ... and being that your room matches it, there;s a double reason to keep it all for yourself!!

DublB ... my goodness, that is a BIG difference!! Looks like you must have left one of the families out of the count. At least you realized now and can make sure you have the food (more important than the chairs!) for all to eat.

QNSue ... hope your numbers have held at siz and not inflated like DublB's!!!

So with all your flurry in getting ready for Thanksgiving ... I joined you today!
Bought a turkey breast ... no, not cooking it now. Just to have in the freezer and will use it sometime between now and Christmas, whether for me solo, or with a friend or two here. They are often hard to find, so when I get a chance, I usually stock up!

Delicious eating though ... so now I am ready when the moment strikes.

Whew!!, I am tired!! cooked the turnips, shrimp, sauce for the mushrooms, celery & onions for the stuffing, stuffed the mushrooms, shopped for the bread & pies, baked the pies, DH dusted the walls & ran the vacuum..the kids came over for dinner...After dinner I left to make a trip to JoAnn"s..they sent me coupon for an extra 30% off and it was burning a hole in my pocket..I bought some antipill fleece to make myself a jacket..I will rub a pattern from an old favorite of mine...some 1/2 yard pieces of Xmas fabric for a tree skirt I'd like to make for my son...I hope..came home at 9:30 p.m. cleaned up the kitchen a bit and now it's time for bed...
It's good to hear positive conversation about the happenings in our lives...No, Carriem, haven't set a date yet..probably after the holidays...
Happy Thanksgiving PC Riders!!! We have so much to be thankful for..I'm so happy to have all of you in my life...H.

We are happy to have you in our life, Honchey. Thanks for all that you have done for us.

We are all stuffed and sleeping it off here. Carrie's carrot dressing was a favorite at my table. Stuffing from the turkey was popular also. Sweet potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, gravy and the three salads completed the meal. The guys did up the dishes and we ladies sat back and relaxed. After doing up the dishes, men enjoyed the pumpkin pie and vanilla ice cream. I will put away the last of the clean pans later. So thankful I have two refrigerators to hold the left overs. Since I was so busy with the turkey and dressing this morning, everyone got hers or his breakfast together...and it worked out well. And everyone was happy with the mid-day meal, and that made me feel good. Supper will be 'leftovers' heated up in Corningware divided plates.

Lin and Ken will leave in the morning and I will re-claim my quilt room, setting it up to sew. BF Susan and I will go to US Cellular and have a 'talk' with them about my dead phone and her bill that was confused again, for the fourth time, with her Mother's account. Life goes on. I think we re-set our scales back 20 pounds.

DD, DGSon & I started our day reeeeeal early. DGSon has an ear infection. We had ta take him ta the ER 'cause their insurance would only cover him if they went ta the ER. We knew that he probably had an ear infection yesterday but didn't want ta go & wait in the waitin room for about 3 or 4 hours. So we got a good night sleep & woke real early & were at the ER at 6:15. There was no one in the waitin' room! He got his ears checked & was sent home w/a Rx for an antibiotic & ear drops.
Well we had all 25 people & we sat at 3 tables in the dinin' room & livin' room combo. Everybody brings several dishes & deserts. DH smoked the turkey while I made the dressin', gravy, green beans, & squash casserole. It was so nice not ta be all squished in a tiny house! DD made Humas (Sp?) & a cheesecake. She was so happy that I had a set o' spring board pans. It went real well! I wasn't worried about enough food the way we all do it. By each o' us bringin enough food for several meals we always have waaaay too much food.

Boy is my face ever red...I went to tweek the MB for December and found that I hadn't mailed the one for November yet....and I've had it made since last February right after we got the lists. It will go in the mail tomorrow.
all if your Thanksgiving celebrations sounded so tasty. We spent a quiet day with leftover turkey from earlier this week.
Mirabelle....I think you have to go with your heart and no guilt. It does look beautiful on your bed.
Dubib...what a Thanksgiving for you....only one home and the car all paid for and room for a houseful to enjoy each other.
carriem...you've been pretty busy sewing for not being able to do much. It will be nice to have everything sandwiched!
QuiltE...hope you can get your week lassoed and in line and you don't have more surprises this week.
Honchey...take care of your knee. It sounds like you have a really busy weekend coming.
JanRN...snowy weather up your way. We've missed it entirely here but northern Indiana by the lake got a lot.
Anael....thanks for the pictures. What a beautiful family you have. I'm sorry to hear about your oldest son. It has to be hard for all of you. Your surgery is this next week isn't it?
i just got the fabric requirements for Michelle Fosters QALONG, Bonnie Hunter's Mystery starts tomorrow, and my QB just challenged us to have a quilt that we only work on when we're together. Am I ever glad I got as many flimsies done as I did this past month. I would have had another one done but the borders just didn't come together and I had to make a couple attempts before I liked the results. Maybe I can squeeze in a couple more days with it and put it in the flimsy box too.

Hello All

We had a good visit at my mom's today. Lots of laughing and great food. Small group this year (only 1 of my 3 sisters was there with her son, then our family of 5, my mom and her husband). I got all three quilts sandwiched...

Just in case anyone is interested, Quilt-Pro is a having a big sale for the next 24 hrs....50% off everything. I just got the 50 Stars and also Carol Doak's 40 Bright and Bold Stars for the regular price of one of them. If you are planning to resize your blocks from 12" this is an easy way to do it. http://www.quiltpro.com/

Carriem I just found the post for the 50 Stars, I am definitely going to join in.

Oksewglad only a small mishap and easily corrected, I am sure the recipient will love your block even if it is a little late. Only 2 more blocks on my design wall, I have thoroughly enjoyed making these mystery blocks.

Still undecided on the quilt for DD, I have made a start on the Bargello, sewn 209 x 1 1/2 inch strips so far with about 150 to go. So I am going to get off this computer and keep sewing
