Goodmorning Ladies!!!

THANKS for the talk on rotary cutters... I have been looking for one myself, one that clicks shut on its own. I bought one before but dont like it. so info is GOOD, I will have to go get me one

OOPS quilt... digging into the closet yesterday I have ALL picked out fabrics for it!

OOOooohhh PRETTY blocks Ninasue and OK
Some Ladies have more mystery blocks than others... I also have 10, with Jan and Feb left to go. I lost track if everyone received for Nov and Dec?

GOOD NEWS the school finally agreed to the kids riding the bus! we have to take them 2 miles to bus stop, but it is a BLESSING for sure

Have a good one ladies!!!

QNS & OK....what a lovely set of blocks! I mailed my Jan Mystery Block Friday. I was looking for a empty project box that day and happened to dig out the Bonus Blocks which haven't been touched and my pineapple blocks were on the counter looking for a place to go and so I put them together on my design wall and ...... I have a new quilt ready to put together as soon as the February block comes. It is a very personal, special lapsize, only for me quilt that I will treasure! I won't post pictures until I get it to the flimsy stage but would challenge any of you that haven't done anything with their Bonus Blocks to consider marrying them up with the mystery blocks.
Windy and more snow today before the temperature plunges tomorrow. So thankful for warmth and shelter. Have a great day, everyone!

More chatter, I love it. More, more!!

OK, what a beautiful array of blue MBs..love everyone of them.

Good to hear from D_D, too.

GG is right, todaiy will be wonderful, tomorrow nature reminds us its winter time...if it runs in cycles, next year will not be as cold...we hope. Or set any records that Quilte quoted for this year. Maybe the Ground Hog will not see his shadow on the 2nd.

And now you all know that I blame Murphy the Frog for all the ripping I have to do...which is were I am headed now...you'all have a 'ripping good day!

GrannyQ and OKSGlad ... What a nice addition to the block family!

OKSGlad ... With the final MB in February, you'll have 13, so won't work. Take mine out as it is too dark with the rest. Without it, you have a grand set to finish off. No offense ... and you can do something else sometime with that one. I'm sure your school is very appreciative of your substantial donations. Probably a lot more than many others!

DDamsel ... Thank goodness for you finally getting the kids on the bus! Two miles is better than how many? Will be fun to see your OOPS come together! Nov/Dec MBs ... I also wonder if everyone received theirs or not?

GGal ... what a great idea, to combine your BBs and MBs ... you must have a very large lapsize though, with all those! How did your at-home play day go? Did you see some progress? Do you and your QB ever sew together in each other's homes? or just do your FARTs and classes together?

QNSue ... oh dear, please do not wish us a "rippin' good day" ... never want reverse stitching! Maybe put Murphy out in a snowbank to chill off??

Likewise, I am heading off to enjoy the afternoon away.
You already know where that is!!!
Meanwhile my cauldron bubbles and boils away giving off such nice smells!!!!

Hey ya'll! I did resubscribe taday, like Sue recommended. Taday will let me know if that works!
Yesterday I used Inktense & painted 2 blocks for the cancer quilt. On another one I used some colored permanent markers & then the Inktense. Well that didn't work. So I'll redo that block.

Rip not as in ripping, but a good rip-roaring, energetic, delightful day. So glad it worked for you Dublb.

Off to unload feed into cans for the chickens. Almost done ripping....almost! I may have to show you M.Murphy in a snow bank....when we get another one.!

Well, I also have Instant messaging and I did not get any QB messages today! Wow, I usually get messages from four or five topics that I have subscribed to. I guess dublb and I have the same problem going on!

I didn't get any messages yesterday, but got a lot this morning (lots of duplicates). I am guessing there was an issue on the board. FYI if you are subscribed but not getting the emails, log into the board and then click on "Settings" at the top of any page. That will show you the threads that have new messages.

Wow....did the wind ever roar last night! It got up to about 45 yesterday and melted a lot of snow...gusty winds....but last night after dark the temps started to drop and the wind picked up to a steady pace and made such a noise. DH kept hearing unusual noises outside and finally got up about midnight to look and the big garbage container supplied by the company was being blown down the street!!! We set it in a protected corner by out front stairs too. He bundled up a brought it back but there were so many other bumps in the night that neither of us slept very sound. I can only imagine how it must have been for OK and Carrie if they had snow with the wind. Jan, QuiltE, and Honchey...this is coming your way and I promise you...I didn't send it.
QuiltE...I like a lap quilt that tucks in around the edges...this one will be about 50x60... Long enough to keep my toes warm. I need a little more fabric for the extra pinwheels/ sashing but it will wait until a better day for travel. OK must have two from someone. There are 13 in the exchange if we count ourselves.
QNSue...Murphy does help me if I get something out of whack. I don't like his visits but he is a helpful friend.
Janie...by this point in your life, you know what it takes to get to the other side of depression so I won't offer any suggestions. I've been fortunate enough to stay free from that oppression so anything I say would be hearsay anyway. Just take good care of yourself.
DD...do the kids like riding the bus? It sure makes it easier for the family that they can.
Dubib...sounds like you have some interesting stuff going on. I might use some paint to embellish my appliqué. Thanks for the idea.
last week of the month and the only goal I'm not meeting so far is FMQ....go figure huh....and my bonus blocks are much farther along than anticipated! Stay safe and warm everyone....Mirabelle and Jeanie...stay cool.

Yes, the wind blew here last night, too, and its zero this morning, quite different from the 46 degree weather of yesterday.

I was ripping out all the mistakes and found the triangle that was cut too large that caused the problems...so I used 'Best Press' and put the triangles all back together and had it looking so nice...and went to 'fit' it back on the the main piece..and discovered I had inserted every Ohio Star tip upside down! Corrected two last night, and will correct the other two this morning. Laying it out on the guest bed, so I can see those 'mistakes' before putting all back together. So, we will see how much I can do today toward finishing the Irish Mist.

I just have the 10 MBs and feel like maybe I am missing December's....not sure. Waiting email reply from Honchey on that subject; she must be very busy as no answer over the weekend. Everyone celebrate the day...find a way to make it a special day.
