Honchey....loved the pictures, even the beach in sweatshirts. We would have needed parkas up North to stand by a frozen lake at the same time of the year!
DD...I enjoy it when you pop in. It sounds like you're feeling pretty good.
Jan...what a laugh. Thanks.
Mirabelle...no quilting???for a entire day??? Hope you survived!
i have the SYE blocks all sashed and ready to begin joining the rows. First I have to take all of the paper off the main blocks. Maybe when I get that all done I will have the pattern for the very last block. I don't anticipate ever doing another entire quilt using PP but I love how this one is coming together. Have a good day everyone!

So anxious to see you SYE, GGal. Have you posted it on the SYE threads? I haven't been keeping up on those. So patient of you to now have to spend time all that time tearing.
Ted Lighety--who's he? Just teasing DDamsel! When I heard he was from your home state, I thought of you immediately! Oh to have 60°; we're in the deep freeze again and looks like another 7-10 days of it. It'll be a slow snow melt at this rate.
I'll buy your book, Jan! Thanks for allowing us to see a whole new world!
mirabelle, glad to hear you got the evidence cleaned up before DH arrived home! He'll love it.
Yup, QE, another job on my resume (OKSGlad ... Good Ol' Mom is now Real Estate Mom! ) Now today was HR director as I weave my way through final health care papers and filling out forms for truck on USDOT carrier website. I just love all these laws and regulations I have to keep up with--not!
Working on mini designs. Have border to put on one mini, then work on another. 8yo GD wants the dolly quilt as she has fabric "paper" dolls I gave to her as a BD gift years ago. The 5 yo fondles it and says, "It's so cuuute"!

Have a good night. Still in the deep freeze here. I don't believe your graphic Anael!

I finished the sm walhangin' that is my FFC & am so very unhappy w/it. The borders are all wavy! I think when I handquilted around the borders (SITD) I pulled the stitches too tight.
I go ta the Dr tamarrow ta find out why my lower side (close ta my ovary) is hurtin'. It only hurts sometimes, but each time is worse than the last time. Friday was the last time I hurt.

OK...it will be a week or so. I have one block to make and the pattern hasn't been posted yet. Meanwhile, I will depaper and sew some of the rows together.
Windy and cold this morning even with the sun shining. I plan to have lunch with my QBs and need some fabric for finishing the SYE so will stop at the LQS. They will have all FQs on sale for $2 next Tuesdsy....fat Tuesday...last day of Marti Gra...and I will be checking out what might be available. Stay warm and save....

*gasp* a day without sewing for MiraB ... unbelievable!

DDamsel ... yeaaaaaaa for your local guy! Enjoy your heat! I remember last March you were out in your sundress and we were shivering away!!!

GGal ... It just doesn't seem like any work at all, when I take it off the paper as I go. I am SO looking forward to seeing yours all together. Maybe a peak of the partial? What a great sale idea ... Fat Tuesday!

OKSGlad ... all the more reason to KEEP that paper dolly quilt for yourself, so the Grands can enjoy it when they come to visit. Has REMom been successful? Hope you got that USDOT redtape dealt with ... I don't miss all the redtape of farming one iota!

DublB ... look forward to seeing your FFC. Good Luck tomorrow.

OK guys I had a busy day. First I went ta the DR. As I was gittin' outta the truck ta walk in I looked at my phone & I was 4 min.s late. I was walkin' very fast while tryin' ta hook my keys ta my purse. I stepped up at the first step. I thought the second step was about 5' from the first step, but it's only 3' from it. Yep, ya got the pict. I walked right inta that second step & fell forward. My knees are pretty bruised up & my right wrist hurts. It hurts in the same tendons that I have fought tenosynovitis for years. I took asprin for it earlier taday & have ice on it now.
When I got in ta see the
Dr he said that there isn't anything really wrong w/me. No kidney stones, no diverticulitis, the 1 sm cyst shouldn't 'cause that kinda pain. He does want me ta come back in May for another sonogram (ta check out the cyst) & wants me ta have a colonoscopy ta rule out polyps. I do have another disk that has "protrusions" & that might explain this. (He looked back at my old MRI.)
After I saw the Dr I went ta an estate sale. I didn't git ta go all o' the way through as DH called & said that he was home a few min.s early for lunch & he wanted ta go somewhere. We went ta the Golden Buffet.
After lunch I kinda took it easy for an hour then went & picked up my Apprentice & her toddler. She is back in town till Sat. We went ta the Stitchin'post. It's a very nice needlepoint store. I didn't know what kinda store it was. They have a bunch o' Vera Bradly stuff. My apprentice went all ga-ga for it! I wish I had all the $ in the world, so I could afford ta buy some o' that for her. Wow the prices were high! We could have stayed there all day! I had hoped that they'd have some ribbon embroidery books, but I didn't see any. I did buy some Thread Heaven & a cross stitch pattern.

Dubib....what a day! Glad that the Dr. gave you a report that can ease your mind somewhat. Sorry you fell down but you could have run into a light post while looking at your phone and gotten a black eye. I know one lady that still has only a land line with an answering machine. Isn't it funny how we've become so tied to our cell phones?
QuiltE....patience my friend. No sneak previews.
Great lunch yesterday with QBs. We have a couple of FARTS on the calendar for March and April. Stopped at the LQS and got what I needed to finish the SYE quilt and some fabric for backing on my DGS's quilt.
Boosters....I've ticked off everything for February goals except regularly practicing FMQing. I did try, blocks went okay but there is not enough room to the left of my machine to accommodate even a baby quilt....I tried. Have to come up with a better room arrangement. March goals taking shape and will be posted this weekend. This process has really helped me! I'm down to 4 UFO's...flimsies don't count in my sewing room...
Warmer today, enjoying the sunshine but preparing for Titan this weekend. Hope you're safe, Jeanie. It sure doesn't sound good in California right now.

Yeah, we finally have gotten some rain! We got 3" in the last two days. What a blessing!

I've been working on my 50 Stars, still behind! I've been keeping the information on the Spike Your English blocks, but they are put on the back burner for now. I need to go shopping for some more fabric for two more borders on my Celtic Solstice, then I will have my flimsy finished. It is very colorful! I've also been working on the scraps that my friend gave me. Got the two bags full, down to one. I don't often get in the "mood" to cut, so take advantage of it when the mood strikes. My strip bins are overflowing!

Our local Community College Basketball Teams are doing well. The women are rated #1 in Southern CA section, AND #1 in the State, they have their first playoff game at home on Saturday. The men won their first playoff game last Wednesday, Joe and I went down to watch. What fun! We go to all the games we can during the season.

I have been in the quilt room trying to get Feb Stars done, so I can get the SYEs done, so I can get back to Sylvia, and Dear Jane...but the month of February ends today and here's progress: What is said about a half of a worm vs. whole worm in the apple and which would you rather have???...so I posted the whole and the half that is done.

Love your square, GG. and your posted SYE. So glad you are moving along on that trail and wish I were there too.

Jeanie, I did notice the news the first inch of rain in LA country with over 100 accidents in that county alone and all the flooding from the rain. And mud slides occurring, so stay safe.
