On the 3 " ones please let me know which you like for possible sashings? I'm starting to wonder on both the 3" and 4" either going with like a tye dyed muslin (for sashing)I just can't decide. Maybe Black? eekkkkkk.....I don't know......White?
The 4" one I still think the blocks are way to dark so the next 25 blocks will do a lot of white background.(Maybe I will like it then)

I do have closer up pictures of the different colored sashings if that will help.Wasn't sure whether I should add them here or not.
Oh my gosh that is so beautiful! I love the scrappy look.

Oh man - I love red and white - that is totally gorgeous. With all the different tones of red it looks scrappy even though it is basically 2 or 3 colors. Love it so much.

Need more red? Suggestions and critique welcomed.
Geez - you guys are really getting the blocks done so fast. I love yours Jan. These are going to be so beautiful when they are done. And I get so much inspiration from everyone.

It is amazing how different everyones blocks look
Mirabelle - it looks like you used repro fabrics. It is beautiful. I am using repros too. But I am only at the 25 mark. Boo hoo.

I agree Anne with you about the double sashing! I love that! I think it makes the blocks stand out more! I do like the center medallion, but like what we're doing better...I wonder how big this would be with double sashing???

Yes they are predominantly Civil War Repro fabrics. I have a lot of Judie Rothermel fabric that I am working with. Hope you can get some sewing time to catch up

Me too .... and hopefully this weekend, I can say I made it to the five-o!

So exciting to see everyone's different take on the FWS colours and sashings. I smiled when I read that QNonnie suggested to JanRN about the forest green, as here I am, likely to be using a dark mottled green!

Alas! Instead of "working" this afternoon, I covered my design wall with the potential sashing fabric and put up the blocks.
Here's my First Fifty FWS blocks .............
