Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Yes, Cynthi H, I have fussy cut many of my block pieces for fwsq; some are more subtle than others. Am trying to let each block "talk" to me, in modern terms, through the name of each block, for each block as it relates to my memories of growing up in the Midwest on a farm.
I grew up with grandparents that owned the "old" things and times and have no desire to make it a repo of the 1930s, etc.,or any other time travel.
I do admire the author's work and skill in making the quilt blocks that she did. It is so interesting to see all the different blocks of this group, so lovely, so colorful for each of our own quilts made with our own fabrics following the block patterns. Not only am I having fun, I am also learning from others examples of excellent work.
Here are my blocks 23 and 24. I'm half way through so will probably take a break to start working on Christmas projects. I'm a slow quilter!

This is my 1st free weekend & as soon as I get off here, am hoping to start back up w/19 & 20 where I left off before I started teaching again...Originally Posted by wvdek
