Here are both my 3" and 4" Blocks #39 and #40. These two seemed pretty easy to me. (On the last photo the colors are all different purples for the background squares and black for the strip going around, will have to try another picture maybe with the flash will show the true colors.)

4" Block # 40 Friendship Block- Scrappy

Here are mine. I don't like either one of them, so they are on trial until I get all the blocks finished & can see what blocks "work" in the quilt & what ones do not.
