I know we're on the downhill slope so tell me why I still feel like I'm going uphill with these blocks --I think that when I finally get caught up I'll feel like Jill tumbling down.

Me too; I scale one mountain cliff and another one appears. I have paper pieced and still corners do not match up. A break from all these blocks, then back to the challenge...i hope.

I had to take a break from these blocks and played with some fabric that's been calling to me from under the piles of stash and came up with 20 of these blocks. A technique I saw here (D 4P)on the board--I'm going to machine embroider roses with white thread on the white squares between the featured blocks. This (d4p) block was so easy and I didn't have to use my brain to figure anything out. I think it's going to look pretty.

I really love the colors you choose for you D9P. They are really pretty. I didn't have as much trouble with Night & Day as I have with some of the other blocks. Please show a picture when you have the emb done on your blocks.

Help!!! Any suggestions on how to get Block 59 to lay flat. Mine puckers in the center where all those 4 blocks come together!

Jeannie say 3 Hail Marys and press the seams open. Don't laugh--it worked for me! I have all the seams in block 59 pressed open (usually only press open long seams). This did help mine lay flat. Since this was probably just dumb luck, I hope someone else has more suggestions. Your blocks are always great!

Love your roses, Anne; so beautiful. Think I am going to work on my True Blue.
