Wowee!! is all I can say about the progress of this Quilt-Along especially those that have all their blocks done and especially those that have them put together. Just Drop Dead Gorgeous!! Am I jealous??? you better believe it. I don't have mine done for this week. I am temporarily back to work at the Viking Gallery to cover vacations for the girls and just too tired to sew. I hope to get back on board next week. Anne

I loved the tulip block-I wonder how it would look in a table runner with maybe 4 of them. (If I ever figure out EQ7, I'll be so happy!!)
Anne, I thought after 40 years I'd miss working. Not for one nano-second do I miss it!!! I only had 1 child so I went back to work when he was 6wks old and just kept working. I'm loving being unemployed--sewing, learning to cook (yep-finally!). Just think tho, you'll have some extra spending money for more fabric.
Thanks for taking the time to post the threads again this week.

Active duty means you have a good excuse, Anne. Mine were done ahead of time or they would not be done. Troubles are multiplying quicker than I can get things done here...first one thing, then another. If it weren't for bad luck, we would have no luck at all. Say a prayer for us, for our cup is running over with the "bad stuff" right now. Looking for that silver lining that is suppose to be in every cloud.
Tried to make the tulip like it was in a spring garden; we do have a tulip tree that is about 60 years old in our yard. I still sticking to my imperfect squares, just to be contistant in the quilt. lol!!!

I really do enjoy working in the gallery. All the newest sewing machines and I do sew there.. I just can't work on anything personal. Soooo...I play with all the embroidery machines sewing out different designs. demoing the machines...for me right now it's FUN. I am green with envy..you have all your blocks done and on the way to completion. Kudos to you Jan. Anne

Hi, y'all! Anne, looking forward to seeing your blocks when you can get them done and posted. Your blocks and fabric choices are always fabulous! I loved last week's flowers in your sparrow block.
I am finished all my blocks and am starting to sew them together; I'm spending an HUGE amount of time trying to decide which blocks look best next to which blocks; I have nowhere that I can lay them all out and can only put a few rows at a time on my design wall. No photos for you to see it 'til it's all finished!
QNSue, I'm hoping your bad luck will move on! Been there, done that and it's no fun.
Jan, I've been "retired" since the end of 1994 and have never missed working. In fact, for the first 10 years or more, I had frequent nightmares where I was back at work. EWWWW! Now I only have the nightmares on rare occasions.
I'm going now to post my block photos.

I am so glad there are so many of us sticking with it till the end. I have 102 blocks pieced and quilted. I left a little batting around the edges, but now am changing my mind on how I am going to put them together and it changes the batting. Guess I will get the "batting seam tape" to add more for the setting triangles.

Sorry Sue that things are difficult at your home right now. Hugs to you!
Anne, thank you so much for continuing to post the threads for us each and every week and for keeping us going! That's soooo HUGE!!!
I want to thank all of you for helping to keep me on track. Seriously, if it weren't for these threads and reading and looking at all you gals are doing, I think I'd have quit about two months ago and left another UFO for another time...as it is, I'm trying to keep up and forge ahead! Looking at all your "pretties" is helping me stay on task.
I actually didn't like the tulip block this week and after I made my block, it just screamed "ugly" in the worst way, so I went to the "boquet" block we had earlier and made just a minor adjustment and used it and liked it much better. If I would have waited to make the block til I saw what ya'all were doing with it, I could have had a better outcome! LOL! :)

RW it's your quilt and you can change what you want to (with apologies to Lesle Gore's It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...) I like the change you made-very pretty. I made a block for my dog (since he spends lots of time with me in my sewing room) and a PennState block since DH, son, and I and now my grandson are all PennStaters. Hey, they blend in and it's my quilt so I'll ....well you know the rest of that song LOL.
