Looking good Naomi. Your first fabric pics show the AB fabrics as brown. But really liking them as green. Really pretty.

ok, this is my dog bed personal experience story:

usually I never see them after they are sewn but one day I had experimented with a large trianguler one rather than a square one due to donated pieces of very heavy dark navy blue flannel. I had it at LQS during sew time and everyone thought it would work fine so we were talking about who would be driving by the shelter next to check if it would work for them....when the crossing guard for the local school came in for some fabric and had one of her rescue dogs with her....so we were talking and showed her how the bed fit nicely into a corner, and she thought that was super....the (very large) dog looked up at her with a pleading look and she told him he could try it out....he sank into the bed with such a happy look, like this was the best thing in the world..... well obviously it had to be for him.... and as she carried it out to her van he did not let it out of his sight.

so everytime we work on this project we remember the look of comfort on the old dogs face....
it is easy to save scraps.

Well I have read every post! The food in here is wonderful, as always! I am going home late late late tonight! My flight leaves at 8:30, but I am so ready to go home and rest! I will pick out my fabric and be ready to roll by next lesson. I love the mystery quilt rides, it makes me stretch my quilting wings. And I learn so much!

Well I caught a terrible cold while I was here in the North West, I ran my long run on a day that started out sunny but ended up being very wet! So I got some terrible blisters! But all in all Charleigh, my 3 year old Granddaughter, and I had a wonderful visit! I hope to be back up here in the spring! But I miss my sewing machine my hubby and my cats! not in any special order mind you!

Hubby says it is pretty warm in So Cal so I might be getting home to another weather change!

You ladies have picked out some awesome fabrics. I can't wait to get started! I wonder how many projects I need to catch up on!

Naomi, those are beautiful fabrics. Is the brown or the green true colors? I know my camera sometimes takes wierd colors.

OMG that is so wonderful. I love dogs. I really never thought of doing that for shelter dogs, I feel so bad now. I feel like I need to go and hug them all and tell them I am sorry
Sunlit, do you have any pictures of them?

I hope the pics come thru my camera died tried new batteries but it still didn't work so I put the fabrics on a portable table and took it out on the lania and held the laptop upside down to take the picture (took a few times to get the fabric all in one frame ). Hey it worked LOL the B fabric in pic 1 is not true to color the others are close. 2nd pic b is closer to real colors .

Wish I could do some exercise, dealing with a torn tendon in my ankle for over a year now. Thought was healing, now, not so much. Guess I am just going to have to deal with the pain. Doesn't hurt all the time. So shopping is as much exercise as I get right now

I still haven't had a chance to do my shopping yet. Hopefully this week I will get to do it!!

Loving everyones choices so far!!!

sorry no pictures, it was just a regular sewing day and all happened in the moment.....that is actually the only time I have seen the pet beds in use.....we do get many big pieces of home decor type fabric for the shell of the pet bed.
