Default McCalls 3-Part Mystery Quilt

say if you choose fab a, fab b(b3), fab c, you may want to chose as your fab d something in a red (red-orange) or green tonal print or a multi-print that complements the shadings in your fab a because you have already picked up the brown and yellow. this is just as an example and i hope it makes sense. whichever fabric you choose as your focus fabric, you would want the other three to complement it and pick up the colors from it.
Thank you for your input...I kept having the feeling that there was something wrong with the Fab D. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I have revisited my stash and changed my fabric selections and in one case even the order. I had to go out and purchase a new fabric C, as you can see from the new pictures. I think this will work better. Jinnie

I did not receive the Jan/Feb 2012 issue of McCall's Quilting. Therefore, I do not have part 1 of the current mystery quilt. Could someone send it to me?

oops! sewze-- i meant to address you! instead i put dahlshouse! silly me. anyway, my fabric is very much like yours. i'm not happy with my d fabric- it's a nothing green. but until i know how important it is, i'm just going to leave it be. it's so much fun to see everyone's choices of fabrics and see how different (and similar) we are. can't wait to see how these turn out!!

Is anyone else disappointed in this second clue? I still have more than half my fabric left, and clue 3 has to include additional blocks, sashing, borders and assembly. I was hoping completion of this quilt would be more evenly spaced between the clues.
