So YOU think this is a boring step? My Lily tried to help but kept falling asleep (in the middle of the scraps, of course). You can see the couple of little HST's that I have done. No matter how accurate I cut and sew, I always trim the edges later. I figure that those few little threads extra at the edges will ultimately skew the whole quilt. So as of bedtime tonight, I have 93 of them done. I'm using scraps instead of 2" strips so it's a little slower.

Oh such a helpful puss you have there. Mine always want to be with me too! Trying to quilt something is so hard, he wants to lie on that big bunched up quilt!

pjnesler, glad you are ready to join in on the fun.

SaraSewing, I measue each of mine and if they need trimmed I would rather trim them now than later.

Sammygirlqt, I was hoping we would use the fourth color this week. Maybe next Friday...

Carolyn, it has to get easier. lol

Miss Lily is beautiful. I have 5 "helpers" as well. They argue over who gets to lounge on the cutting table because it's right in front of the window. "Oh look a chicken" and there goes my fabric!

I've been up since 3am!! With no idea why. I hear my husband and the dog, snoring in the other room, lol. There is no getting out of this recliner to go sew because I'm throughly surrounded and stuffed into it by 3 cats who don't appear to be waking up any time soon.

Worked on the HST's last night. In order to avoid my last mistake, I started out by making them bigger to start with!! My strips are already cut to 2.5 using the ruler I cute them all 2.5 and trimed them up using a 4in bias square temp. I've got 73 all at the correct size!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

DH works all weekend so I will ge sewing and more sewing trying to get caught up for Christmas between making blocks. I've got a 3rd of the table cloth for my uncle pieced. Should have that done and the borders on by the end of today. With the scraps I've made a biscuit basket warmer that I saw on a tut on here.

Keep up the good work ya'll

Ladies, please tell me that this will get easier. I am having trouble finishing each step and I know if I get behind, I'll never go back and finish. The tiny blocks are beautiful, but there are so many. Wow! It's my first Bonnie Hunter mystery. Is this normal for her patterns?

HuDon't worry, I'm behind too. I screwed up the first part and have to start over. This is my first Bonnie Hunter mystery as well. We've got until May to get it done.
